The lowdown on last week's announcements.

The arrival of spring and the first days of hot weather are just the signs we needed to start believing that summer is closer than we thought. Add to that the announcement of insane line-ups, new residencies around the island and a couple of boat parties ready to catch our attention and you've an idea of the news that's been rolling round our head this past week. So here, the latest, in order to keep you, our dearest reader, as informed as possible before you start booking your Ibiza holiday.


Carl Cox announces first round of guests

The final year of Music Is Revolution is almost here. The techno titan and chief of the weekly event has not only announced that this will be its longest season, but also that a bunch of big names will be accompanying him in the booth during the summer. OH YES, OH YES. Starting with the legendary Francois K and pure house heroes such as Danny Tenaglia, Masters At Work and Sasha; passing by techno in all its variants with the likes of Marco Carola, Adam Beyer – in a b2b set with Ida Engberg– and Joseph Capriati; and finishing with Andy C & Tonn Piper, Guy J, UNER, James Lavelle and DJ Sneak. Such a diverse variety of artists that are sure to amaze Space in its final season.

Fatboy Slim will be resident at Cream

It was high time this happened - finally, Fatboy Slim will have an Ibiza residency all summer long. We have seen him over the past year jumping from booth to booth in such places as Pacha, Ibiza Rocks and Pacha among others. But this guy couldn't fit better at any place other than Cream, the trance party that will be sharing happiness every Thursday at Amnesia. Apart from the big opening on Thursday 9th June and until the closing party on 15th September, the 'Eat Sleep Rave Repeat''s genius will be pleasing the crowd at the Terrace on 30th June, 7th, 21st and 28th July and 18th August.

Pukka Up boat party will run twice a week

Pukka Up Sunset Boat parties are joining forces this summer with more than one club. Although we confirmed weeks ago that the famous sailing trips will be running every Friday this upcoming season – ending with a free entry to Insane at Pacha and to Ocean Beach Ibiza the following day– it seems that this year we will have double Pukka dosage. The boat party have added a new date to its calendar: Tuesdays. From the 7th of June until 20th of September, every Tuesday Pukka Up Sunset boat parties will be sailing from San Antonio ending with free entry to Together at Amnesia. The music will be courtesy of Pukka Up residents Aveion, Modaa and Chris Wright.

Find Detroit Love at Sankeys this summer

After the success they have achieved together at the winter season at Sankeys, the braindchild of Carl Craig, Detroit Love, will be bringing again all its weapons during the summer, joining Unusual Suspects every Thursday at the UK venue's LAB room. Kicking off on 7th July and finishing on the 13th of October, Craig will prepare a bunch of events where pure and classic techno will be the main protagonist. Very special guests will include Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Floorplan, Delano Smith, Kenny Larkin, Stacey Pullen, Octave One (live), Omar-S, Dantiez Saunderson Green Velvet, Dubfire, Gaiser, Matthew Dear, Moodymann and Paul Woolford, as well as more to be confirmed very soon.

Float Your Boat and Sundays at Space together for 2016

Every Sunday this season, Float your Boat parties will run from 4pm to 7pm and then will continue the party apace one back on shore, and that's because the famous sailing party is joining forces with one of Space's most talked about events this summer, Sundays at Space. Boats will sail from San Antonio port kicking from 5th June and will run until 25th September. So you can expect three hours of daytime party vibes, extremely good music by the hand of Space Ibiza regulars Jason Bye, Andy Baxter and Clara Da Costa, as well as Darius Syrossian and DJ Bones, who'll have four gigs on board over the summer; and a free entry to the Space night party.
