If you think you’ve seen Ibiza, think again. Last week, Emove quad, buggy and e-motorbike excursions proved that there is way more to this wonderful little island than meets the eye.
Forget the usual beach–bar–club routine, this was all about winding backroads, secret coves, and the kind of countryside or campo views that make you fall in love with the island all over again.
Even after living here for many years, we were all surprised at the spots we reached during our excursion. It was like peeling back a whole new dimension of Ibiza.
One thing that is super special about a trip with Emove, whether quad, buggy, or e-motorbike, is that each tour can be tailored to you and your group. You can tell the team a list of the places you’ve been dying to see, yes, even those dreamy spots you’ve been saving on Instagram.
Alternatively, you can just leave it up to them and let the day unfold; after all, they are the experts. Whichever route you choose, just expect to be wowed by where you're led and what you see.

Ready to kick off our day with an adventure, our keen team of four was there bright and early for the 10:00 morning slot, meeting our lovely guide Stefano at their San Antonio base.
We really had the Ibiza gods looking down on us this day. The sun was shining, a slight breeze in the air, and the big blue sky was an exciting invitation to get out and explore the island's beauty.
With our engines roaring and helmets on - safety first when riding the quad bike - we set off, weaving through the campo, catching flashes of Ibiza’s bright blue sea on the horizon as it peeked through gaps in the luscious green trees.

Zipping through San Antonio and up into the hills of San Augustín, we hit our first stop, the famous Festival Club ruins. An abandoned open-air gallery covered in street art, with insane views over the San José hills. A spot you’ve probably seen on social media, this is a must for your next trip.
Stefano's in-built sat-nav guided our way, as we took turns and trails that were way off any beaten track we had been on before. We followed closely, the only tricky part, if you're driving, is not to let the scenery distract you too much. Eyes on the road...

There’s something about being out in the open air with the wind in your hair, the scent of pines and sea salt, and views of sleepy villages slipping by.
It’s an exhilarating adventure, but a safe one. Stefano always kept an eye out for pedestrians, giving us the heads-up when needed, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe driving on the roads.

We then parked up near Cala Conta beach for a quick swim in ridiculously clear water, the perfect way to cool down after bumping along dirt tracks in the sun. Just don't forget your swimmers like we did!

What we loved was how relaxed it all felt. You can ask to stop at beaches, cafés, or photo spots whenever you like, and you'll want to, as there's so much beautiful scenery to take in.

If you haven't driven a buggy or quad before, let us reassure you that even if you're a complete novice, they are very easy to drive. In fact, the whole team got to grips with it very easily, all taking turns behind the wheel.
Emove runs both buggies and quads, and we got to try both. The buggies seat four and feel surprisingly smooth and sturdy, even on Ibiza’s bumpy back tracks and steep climbs, and there were a few we were tasked with.
The quads seat two, but their wheels handle every adventurous turn with ease. Even with a helmet on, you really feel like you're part of your surroundings, as the dust flies around you and the wind touches your face.
Both are capped at 60 km/h, so you get the thrill without worrying about speed cameras, and everyone with a licence gets a turn at driving, which led to plenty of laughs as we compared who had the best skills.

This day was definitely one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner?” kind of days. We can guarantee it’ll be an adventure you'll never forget.
Each trip lasts for 2.5 hours, leaving at 10:00 and 14:00. However, as we've mentioned before, Emove offers a flexible experience. Therefore, if you and your friends desire a different set-off time, they will always try to accommodate you.
It's worth noting that they offer three island bases for you to begin your adventure: in San Antonio, Playa d’en Bossa, and close to Santa Eulalia. So no matter where you are staying, you’re never far from the Emove action.
