Pacha Group flicks the switch on sustainable clubbing

An industry-first on the White Isle.

Pacha Group has led the charge in transitioning Pacha Ibiza to one hundred percent renewable, zero-emissions energy in a groundbreaking move for the nightlife industry.

From DJ sets and lighting, to full-scale operations, every aspect of Ibiza’s original super-club now runs on green energy. It’s estimated to make an annual carbon savings equivalent to preserving 1.2 million square metres of Amazon rainforest.

As part of its green transformation, Pacha has submitted a scorecard to the US Green Building Council. It's on track to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold or higher certification - a global mark of excellence in sustainable building and operations.

Compared to typical buildings, LEED-certified buildings use on average 25 per cent less energy, 11 per cent less water and emit 34 per cent less carbon emissions.

The renewable transition is part of a push towards what Pacha Group calls "conscious clubbing", a philosophy that fuses Ibiza's world-leading party culture with genuine sustainability.

Alongside the energy overhaul, the club has introduced plastic-free initiatives, water-saving systems and carbon-cutting measures. These applause-worthy steps signal a new era, where nightlife and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

CEO Aloki Batra said, "We're thrilled to lead the nightlife industry in environmental responsibility. Our one hundred per cent green energy and LEED certification goals reflect our vision of creating sensational nights with a positive impact on the planet."

This shift not only redefines club culture on the White Isle, but sets a precedent for nightlife operations around the world to fuse high-energy entertainment with environmental sustainability.

Pacha counts weekly residencies from some of the biggest names in electronic music. They include Marco Carola presents Music On, Solomun, CAMELPHAT, Defected, Sonny Fodera, Robin Schulz, BLOND:ISH, Mau P and its own in-house production, Flower Power.
