After a period of personal and creative transition, Joseph Capriati has returned to the island reinvented.
Named after the Italian word for transformation, his party Metamorfosi is a call to embrace evolution and celebrate the potential of the future: musically, artistically and spiritually. This summer, it is adapting to a new home, after a high-profile move to Hï Ibiza.
Having established a night that’s all about progression, with custom AV production, futuristic design and a roster that includes both legends and the innovators of tomorrow, we were curious. How exactly how the party would look and feel in this new environment?
Eager to find out, the Ibiza Spotlight clubbing team embarked on a Friday night adventure into the heart of Playa d'en Bossa.

Ben Böhmer brings the theatrics
None other than Ben Böhmer brought his acclaimed live performance to The Theatre - his second appearance at Metamorfosi this summer. Arriving at 02:00, we caught the tail end of his set to find a packed dancefloor in a deep, emotional groove.
Bathed in sweeping lights and cinematic visuals, Böhmer delivered everything he’s known for. A finely crafted blend of Melodic Techno, Electronica and Progressive House, infused with his signature warmth and atmosphere.
The crowd was fully immersed, swaying and cheering during every track. For a brief moment, Hï Ibiza transcended the usual club experience and was more akin to a theatrical performance instead. Pretty apt, considering the name and design of the main room.

Indira Paganotto holds down the Club Room
Signalling the end of Böhmers set, the lights came on and we made our way to the Club Room. There, hostess Indira Paganotto was in full command of the decks.
Known for her high-octane blend of Psy-Techno and Acid, Indira Paganotto is one of Spain’s most recognised dance music artists, fully embracing the room's powerful audio capabilities.
Entering the club room, it was clear the crowd was well into everything Paganotto was serving. Blistering bpm's, acid lines and heavy kick drums, it was a sharp contrast to the emotional, melodic warmth of Böhmer’s live set, but no less captivating.
Ranging from the triplet basslines of Psytrance, minimalist heavy Techno, with occasional vocal line over the top, her sound was bold, fast-paced and explosive. Tracks like Vilchezz's Moonwalk were blended together with early 2000s Psy classics from the likes of Sesto Sento (a former project by Vini Vici). It was an eclectic mix that had heart rates elevated.
Decor wise, it was clear the Metamorfosi team had put a lot of effort into the look and feel of the room with a red theme, curtains draped from the ceiling.

After enjoying some high-octane beats from Paganotto, a quick peak into the Wild Corner - redubbed "The Lab" for this night - was in order.
Negotiating our way through the busy club, we were met with another crowd that was locked in the groove. Frequent visitors already know that The Wild Corner consistently pops off. It's no different for Metamorfosi.
The toilet block was an eclectic mix of Deep House, Tech House and a sprinkle of UKG, with colourful roof tiles glowing and making their distinctive flashes in sync with the music.

Back-to-back with an old friend
Of course, we had to check out the main event featuring a back-to-back between Capriati and Paradise boss Jamie Jones.
From the outset, the visuals were very impressive, with the distinctive Metamorfosi logo flashing at the back alongside a plethora of different effects cycling from front-to-back of the room.
The duo were playing a mammoth Tech House and tribal-esque set with the dancefloor locked in the groove. A few pop remixes brought the energy up, including a rework of Timbaland's R&B classic The Way I Are.

After a few groovy hours in The Theatre, we can confidently conclude that Metamorfosi at Hï Ibiza is deserving of your visit.
Underground dance music lovers will feel immediately at home, whether they like the harder stuff or are seeking a deeper journey.
Metamorfosi offers a full-spectrum experience, with well crafted line-ups, immersive audio-visual production and a narrative that celebrates growth, development and the constant evolution of electronic music.
