Punta Arabí hippy market reopens with new energy and the same authentic spirit

Over 400 stalls, live music, food trucks and a new hotel partnership make this season unmissable.

Punta Arabí Hippy Market, renowned as the vibrant heart of Es Caná and a legend in its own right, is gearing up for another successful season starting this Wednesday, 7 May.

This year, it joins forces with FERGUS Style Punta Arabí—a new establishment by this well-established hotel group—in a completely revamped space.

“We’re thrilled to share the work of over 400 artisans who showcase their crafts at our market, and we can’t wait to surprise visitors every Wednesday,” says Paola Podestá, president of Avhempa, the association representing the market’s vendors.

“Our guests will discover many exciting new features, from the fresh ambiance to live music—we’re the only market offering weekly performances by local artists.”

Featuring whitewashed villas nestled among pine forests, three restaurants, and bars seamlessly integrated into the Mediterranean landscape, this new hotel will host the iconic Es Caná Hippy Market within its streets.

The aim is to create an unparalleled opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in a vibrant cultural and artistic environment.

Punta Arabí Hippy Market stands out for its wide and diverse offerings, ranging from artisan jewellery, accessories, and clothing to natural and organic cosmetics, local liquors such as traditional hierbas ibicencas (Ibizan herbs), and sustainable products made from recycled materials such as tyres and plastic—among many other unique items.

"Punta Arabí Hippy Market is the most comprehensive market in Ibiza and the most budget-friendly, with products at all price points," Podesta continues.

This variety ensures that every visitor "finds something special to take home, whether it's a traditional souvenir or an innovative eco-friendly product," she adds.

Music & family-friendly atmosphere

Music is another highlight of this multicultural space for all ages. On its 2025 season opening day, live performances will feature Angel Wolf, DJ La Cat, Swingintonic Duo, and Big Dez Blues Trio. Additionally, the market will once again host its own gourmet area with diverse food trucks, as well as a kids' zone with face painting and workshops.

A blend of tradition & innovation

"Punta Arabí Hippy Market has not only stood the test of time but has also evolved with it—combining the expertise of longtime vendors with the fresh energy of new artisans joining this community each year," she goes on.

Support from Santa Eulalia Town Council

Santa Eulalia Town Hall has emphasised the market’s role as the cultural hub of Es Caná, inviting locals and tourists alike to discover its 2025 updates. They highlight it as "the perfect family-friendly activity after a day at the beach."

A perennial favourite of families, avid shoppers and crafts enthusiasts, Punta Arabí Hippy Market looks all set to embark on another season of quality artisanry, international food, live music and great vibes.
