Ask anyone on Ibiza where they have been getting their weekly fix of dazzling disco and house, and we're certain the response is likely to be Glitterbox at Hï Ibiza.
From the flamboyant dancers to the electric atmosphere - we've loved every part of this glamorous gathering.
Born from Defected's Simon Dunmore deep-rooted disco, Glitterbox was never going to be short of top DJs to call upon. Legendary mixer including Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez, Armand Van Helden and The Shapeshifters have all spun on Sundays at Hï.
Approaching the final few parties of the glittering 20 week run, we reminisce on our five key performances from the season so far. Let's get started.
Our first funky feast
Horse Meat Disco | Sunday 9 June
Casting back to my first dance at Glitterbox, I found myself standing in Hï's Theatre in complete awe of the cabaret craziness strewn before me. It was love at first sight.
DJ collective Horse Meat Disco were spinning dusty forgotten treasures from the vaults of '70s and '80s disco. The force of funk play all over the world, but there's something about that first glitter-coated encounter that has left an indellible impression on me.
We can't wait to hear their forthcoming album, coming soon to the Glitterbox label.
Getting down with Dijon
Honey Dijon | Sunday 7 July
A last minute jaunt to Glitterbox was never going to disappoint, especially with Honey Dijon on the decks. The current queen of all things groovy completely stole the show with her expressive house beats and raunchy disco.
Dripping in sex appeal, Glitterbox seems the perfect medium to facilitate the trans star's vivacious persona. Does any act embody the spirit of the party more than her? Bringing a modern electronic twist to the set, she underlined why disco is universal and can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age, nationality or gender.
Dropping the ‘M' bomb
Melon Bomb | Sunday 21 July
"You've got to see Melon Bomb." "Best night on Ibiza when I saw Melon Bomb." This was all I heard up until 21 July. From then on I didn't hear it - I said it.
Glitterbox stands for fun, for letting loose to music and that is exactly what a crowd under the influence of Melon Bomb do. The Ibiza collective know exactly how to send revellers into a frenzy. Their effervescent energy in the Wild Corner, sent this set into our list.
A right rambunctious rave
DJ Harvey | Sunday 1 September
One character as outrageous and sassy as the premise of Glitterbox itself, is DJ Harvey.
The last remaining hell-raiser and a man who knows all about hedonism. They don't make them like Harvey anymore. Being regulars at his Mercury Rising residency at Pikes, we knew what to expect. Even so, the manner in which he commanded the club room showed real gravitas.
A master selector, an enthused crate-digger and a meticulous programmer - sometimes we question if we deserve him at all. He plays again on 22 September - don't miss it.
Wax hands
Nightmares On Wax | Sunday 15 September
We have soft spot for George Evelyn at Ibiza Spotlight, we must confess.
Before his first outing at Glitterbox this summer, you could have found us frequenting his Wax Da Jam parties at Pikes at the start of the season. But catching him play in a super-club - that is an opportunity not to be passed by.
Just like an good DJ he will keep on your toes, capable of going off at tangents into different territory. Not only a skilled musician but a generous philanthropist too, there isn't anything we can find to dislike about one of dance music's most genuine souls.
Truthfully, this was a hard list to compile since we could have included a dozen or so more standout moments. That's the thing about Glitterbox, it's about as guaranteed of a good time as you're likely to find anywhere on Ibiza.
Three more dates remain, with the giant closing party happening on Sunday 6 October. You can be sure that there are many more memories waiting to be made under the shimmering disco ball.
