Since launching earlier this year, the Wi-Ki-Woo hotel has made quite a statement. It's not just its pretty colour scheme of pastel pinks and greens that have made an impact on tourists, it's also the welcoming spaces that are the hotel bar and its restaurant.
Both areas have been designed with guests and visitors in mind. A head chef with Michelin restaurant experience oversees the cuisine and a head barman that's a mixology master makes you bespoke cocktails based on your mood and preferred flavours. Soon, we'll be wanting all hotels to be like this.
The Wi-Ki-Woo's Michelin food master at work
If you have ever passed out and jealously eyed the sweeping bar area and the people there kicking back, eating and sipping gorgeous looking drinks, then instead of just walking past, you now know that you can head in and sample the world of Wi-Ki-Woo for yourself.
Stepping into the bar area and walking across the central herringbone pastel tiles, lined with palms, it feels like a piece of Miami. You can sit in one of the comfy banquette areas, on high tables with stools or at the sweeping bar. If dining, there's an inside restaurant area and food can be served anywhere in the bar area too.
Pretty in pink and green - the gorgeous bar area
With DJs providing the ambient soundtrack, excellent rapid service, anyone visiting will feel like a king or queen in the lush, prettily-coloured surroundings. The restaurant has an excellent selection of internationally-inspired dishes, with a light lunch menu that also includes salads and burgers. Platters for sharing are ideal if you are dropping by.
All dishes are prepared from scratch and dinner options are nice and copious with some great quality Argentinian beef, fresh fish and some great vegan options. There's even a great breakfast menu with everything from a full English to avocado on toast.
Cocktails with your favorite flavours and spirits
If you are eating, know that Norbert, the mixologist can prepare you cocktails that not only match your tastes, but also your food. When we visited, we managed to sample an array of different drinks especially created for us. Yes, you can get the classic cocktails here, but wouldn't you want something special, just for you?
If you are around until 7 October this year, pop in and try the food and drinks and if not, then add a visit to this hotel to your list for next year.
More than just a hotel, the Wi-Ki-Woo is part of a new wave of hotels on Ibiza that offer style and comfort and where the drinks and the food are far from second best. Go as a guest or just drop in to experience it for yourself.
