Ibiza Rocks' 2017 live series revealed

Primal Scream and The Kooks confirmed for Ibiza Rocks live series in 2017.

Ibiza Rocks has been pushing Ibiza's live music scene for over a decade, and in 2017 it's taking on Tuesdays with another round of loaded live gigs.

The six-part series will be taking place on select dates throughout July, August and September, with the first confirmed line-up landing on 11 July with Stormzy's first ever #MERKY Festival, which will have the South London rapper in with a hand-picked line-up of the fiercest urban talent. Coming in with the third session is NME Award winner Dua Lipa, who'll make her Ibiza Rocks debut on the globally renowned poolside stage on 18 July. Coming in at the end of July on Tuesday 25 is Grammy award-winning Clean Bandit, an act that is no stranger to Balearic shores after headlining in 2014 and 2015. The band, which has sold over 14 million singles and 1.6 million albums worldwide, will be supported by Atlantic Records pop-soul newcomer, Mullally.

First up in August is four-piece indie rock band Bastille. They'll be coming in strong after their Wild Wild world tour and huge festival appearances, and your support for the session is from Warner Brothers signing, Rationale. Later in the month, on 29 August, is British Rock royalty Primal Scream, and that baby is a booking that's sure to be a massive highlight for season 2017. The Glasgow-born band, which boasts a career that spans 30 years, will be launching us through a huge back catalogue at the iconic Pikes Hotel, and for the occasion we'll be getting an outdoor stage for that intimate festival experience.

And finally, on 5 September Ibiza Rocks favourites The Kooks will be in with their ´Best Off…So Far´ gig for the climatic closing. The band, who've been part of the family since it all began in 2005, will be pushing hotly tipped Brighton band Fickle Friends as support.

Andy McKay, Founder & CEO, Ibiza Rocks Group said: “Bringing live music to Ibiza was one of the best things we have ever done. Most of the acts we bring to the island would not have a home here if we had not created Ibiza Rocks in 2005. Twelve years on, our new extended programme reflects us continuing to chase that fresh energy whilst keeping live music in our hearts. The amazing new daytime pool parties combined with the flagship Ibiza Rocks live concerts, our first day to night #MERKY Festival with grime giant Stormzy and our first full live show with legendary rock ‘n' roll band Primal Scream at PIKES really shows the strength, relevance and stretch of the brand. We're extremely excited for the summer ahead... It's going to be a very special and significant one, especially for San Antonio.”

With that roster, Ibiza Rocks' title as the home of live music on the island isn't going anywhere.
