Things to do this month on Ibiza - February 2017

February is warming up in its first week this year, the time for exploring deserted beaches then on to party fun.

The month of February has begun with already higher temperatures, so it's back to walks in the sun on near deserted beaches; more fabulous winter restaurant deals; an homage to the first ever song played at Pacha and the uplifting spectacle of almond trees in bloom. We're sure you'll find something here for you.

Blooming pink and white

February is really all about the almond blossom on Ibiza and there are two ways to do it, like much on the island, by day or night. By day, you will see the pink white blooms of the tree filling the open countryside. Moonlight walks, especially the full moon, see the trees and its flowers take on a otherworldly ghostly glow. Go on an organised walk to see this nocturnal spectacle. Walking Ibiza is doing two walks on 10 and 11 February and are sure to be fun.

Food, fun and dance floor frolics

A new winter night called Los Viernes has landed at Pacha in the club's restaurant, giving you a three-course meal plus entertainment before you get down on the dancefloor. All this at an incredibly reasonable price. This Friday 3 February brings you one of the best Beatles' tribute bands ever to mark the first ever tune played in the club, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. Groovy! It's proved so popular that this week, the restaurant space is being extended, so better book now.

Menus to warm in winter

Winter is simply one of the best times to get great three-course meal deals that take you across Spain and to places like India and Italy for little money. The 'culinary heritage' or Patrimoni Gastronomic festival takes place each year all the way up to the middle of March, with a dozen great Ibiza restaurants taking part. You can find out more by going to the festival's website at the link below.

Electric dreams

Saturday 4 February and back at Pacha puts on some pure house and techno tunes with Electric Ibiza. We've not seen headliner Danny Howels on the island that much recently, so head on down to the club that never closes for a big high five welcome. He's supported by the talents of Simon Morell B2B Jaime Fiorito and Graham Sahara. Get on your winter dancing boots and go!

Hidden caves, coves and a sparkling sea

If you have never seen Ibiza from the sea, then you are in for a treat. Whizzing past on a speedboat is one way, but to get up close and personal you want to be going at a more gentle pace. From this month, Kayak Ibiza is now running a new weekly tour on Wednesdays to add to the Sunday trips. Two chances to see hidden caves and coves and emblematic sites of the island. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself, some waterproofs and warm clothing.

Shooting right towards the end of the month: Unusual Suspects is back at Sankeys on 28 February, to bring on the spring. With a national holiday the next day, it's a great opportunity for a no-holds-barred end-of-month celebration. Spinning the tunes is a cool line-up of DJ masters that includes Janina Azimute, Federico Grazzini and Frank Storm. Go, go, go!
