Freddie Rocks Ibiza

Be 'Freddie for a day' down at Pikes Hotel this Sunday, September 7th with a fab kids' area and a very cool line-up.

This Sunday 7th September, Ibiza Rocks at Pikes Hotel are organising a special party in honour of the late, great Freddie Mercury's birthday - Freddie Rocks Ibiza. As you would expect, it's going to be large.

Everyone is invited to be ‘Freddie for a day,' and your €5 donation on the door includes a rather splendid Freddie Mercury moustache. Velvet smoking jackets, leather shorts and the use of elaborate cigarette holders are positively encouraged, dear reader, with tongue very firmly in cheek!

Starting at 1pm, this romping Sunday lunch soireé promises to be cracking day out for the whole family, with a dedicated play area for the kids complete with bouncy castle, games, toys and endless fun. All courtesy of local childcare gurus, Kids In Ibiza. Entry to the kids zone is also by a €5 donation. 100% of the proceeds go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

The programme includes some of our favourite island Djs, just have a look at this little lot!

Felix Da Housecat, Mark Jones, Andy Carroll, Colin Peters, Tom Crane, Ste-V-Something, Lisa Chadderton, Steve Altman, Tiki Boy, Howard Hill and Jon Sa Trinxa. That is one beefy Balearic line-up, friends.

Plus there will be live music from Kids On Bridges + Bravofox + special guests. We're loving Kids on Bridges and their edgy, indie rock sound and we're looking forward to catching Bravofox, usually to be found on Mondays at Ushuaïa.

Guest-list is essential for this one ladies and gents, so if this sounds like your kind of party, then drop an email and request yours:

If you fancy a spot of Sunday lunch while you're there, then you can reserve a table right here.

We at Spotlight love a bit of daytime, pool-party action, particularly down at gorgeous Pikes Hotel and especially if cocktails are involved, ahem. The Spotlight daytime crew will be down there ladies and gents, getting in the mood for our last special party of the season, later on in El Salon at We Love Space on Sundays. Let the weekend commence, olé!
