‘First I was afraid, I was petrified. Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side.’ There, now you’re all humming along, we can reveal that 70’s Disco Diva Gloria Gaynor will actually be performing her enduring 1979 hit single in the world’s disco capital.
La Gaynor will be appearing on the island on June 22nd at an as yet unnamed venue to perform in part of a cycle of concerts titled Mediterranean Nights. The shows, subsidised by the Tourist authorities to the tune of €350000, will be staged throughout the Balearic Islands but this is the only one in Ibiza.
Fitting then, that the ‘I will Survive’ artist should finally make it to the island where disco music was invented all those years ago. Altogether now, ‘Never can say goodbye No, no, no, no, I never can say goodbye’
