Visitors to our shores this year who are interested in where the extra cash they stumped up to pay their Ecotax went should stay tuned to this article for the Island Government has announced for approval the first 3 projects financed by the tax. The first two are in the Salinas Natural park where a new visitor information centre and car park will be constructed, involving the acquisition of land by the side of the church of Sant Francesc de d´Estany, and the Illa Blanca sport complex. In the north of the island, Cala d´en Serra, in San Juan, will benefit from the demolition of an old unfinished building which will return the area to back to the beautiful wooded place of ecological interest that it was previously.
