Jazz Point Ibiza returns once again, promising an enthralling showcase of some of the biggest names in the international Jazz scene gracing the island from 12 to 15 October, captivating music enthusiasts with an exquisite line-up of artists spanning four days.
The festival starts on Thursday 12 October at 17:00 h, with an electrifying Opening Party Jam Session held at WOM Radio Café in Santa Eulalia. The stage will be set ablaze by the Pere Navarro Band, the main performers of the evening, jamming alongside an array of international stars and local talents, creating an unforgettable musical fusion.
The Opening Festivities continue in the evening on Thursday 12 October at The Standard Hotel on the Vara de Rey in Ibiza Town. Starting at 21:00, the international masters of jazz will jam together with prominent local musicians to celebrate the beginning of Jazz Point Ibiza 2023.
As the sun sets on Friday 13, the ambiance transforms into elegance and sophistication at the breathtaking Safragell Hotel near San Lorenzo. Starting at 20:00 h, guests will be treated to a delightful musical dinner featuring two esteemed groups: The Juanma Trujillo Trio, with guest Javier Vercher, and the Albert Cirera Sextet. The melodic blend of talents promises to enchant the senses and leave a lasting impression.
Saturday 14 October from 21:00 h, will witness a remarkable night at Teatro Ibiza, as the home iconic home to live musics presents famed headliners Alex Sipiagin and Ariel Bringuez, joined by the Trevor Coleman Trio.
Sunday 15 October sees the final chapter of the festival, starting at noon with the mesmerizing performance of the Big Band Ciutat d’Eivissa, under the direction of Vicent Tur at Can Ventosa cultural centre. This free concert, reminiscent of the golden Big Band era, will enthrall jazz enthusiasts and bring joy to hearts.
At 20:00 h, also at Can Ventosa, the enchanting duo of Marta Sanchez (piano) and Maria Grand (sax) will grace the stage, followed by the spirited sounds of the Perico Sambeat Quartet, accompanied by guest Javier Vercher. The evening promises to leave the audience with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
As an added bonus, some of the performers will be conducting "Master Classes" at Can Ventosa on Saturday 14 October, from 12:00 h. These enlightening sessions invite local musicians to take part in an enriching experience, as these musical virtuosos generously share their wealth of knowledge about jazz and the art of performing at the highest level.
