camera

Location: Between Santa Eulalia and Es Caná
Facilities: Beach club
Activities: a watersports centre which also offers excursions
Size: 50 metres long, 5 metres wide
Getting there: Reached by car, bicycle, or bus from Santa Eulalia or Es Caná, only two kms. away. Alternatively, stroll along the coast from either of these two resorts. Parking is very difficult, so it's best not to come by car.

The beach

S'Argamassa is a secluded beach between Cala Martina and Cala Pada, with fine sand and sheltered waters. This is a good beach to take the kids to, owing to its shallow waters that extend far out and the absence of waves and currents.

Right on the beach, you'll find Cesar's Watersports Centre, with a wide selection of water sports, fun aquatic toys, and boat excursions. If you come with the family, you should try the Acrobosc assault course and climbing park, only a few steps from the beach: a sure hit with the kids and Ibiza's only such facility.

Spotlight Tips

Following the coastal path northwards, you'll come across a stone wall crowned with a water canal, which archaeologists state could have been part of industrial facilities during Punic and Roman times (circa the first and second centuries AD) for brining fish and manufacturing garum, a fish sauce highly valued in the Mediterranean region in those times.

As you further walk along the coastal path to Cala Pada beach, there are several spots where you can access the water and enjoy what seems like your very own tiny, private beach.

Beach bars and restaurants

An interesting addition to S'Argamassa Beach is Nikki Beach Ibiza, an international brand that is famous for its beach clubs in Marbella, St. Tropez and other upmarket destinations.

Nearests resorts

The popular resort of Es Caná, in the north, and Santa Eulalia, the third largest town of Ibiza, to the south.
