Ibiza Playa Hotel

Marconfort El Greco Hotel

*****5 HOLIDAY. Just returned from my holiday in June 2015. Booked with Ibiza Spotlight. The Customer Service team is excellent could not fault them in any way. Stayed in Portinatx, we had the Suite at the Marconfort El Greco Hotel (All inclusive). It only cost 40Euros from the Airport to the Hotel and it only took 30min which was great, some of our friends went with the Coach and it took them and hour and a half to get up to the hotel. The Suite was amazing, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, huge lounge with TV, kitchen with fridge, cooker, kettle and all the utilities, balcony, huge patio with about 6 luxury sunbeds for your own use. In one of the bedroom you had a safe deposit box with a key (free of charge)- great. Sizeable pool – great for kids to play, especially for my 3 and 10 year old boys. The little one was confident with his little zoggs jacket, the pool was shallow at one end and quite deep at the other end. There was an outside shower near the pool if you wanted to cool down from the sun. We were very impressed!!! The views from our Suite was spectacular, it was breath-taking even in the morning and at night. The hotel was great, good food and drinks. I had Pink Champagne with my cooked breakfast in the morning, it was lush!!! Plenty of food for the kids to choose from. The ham and cheese omelette was the favourite. At dinner and evening time again plenty to choose from, a variety of food throughout the week. There is a snack bar near the pool which opens around 11-5pm which cooks burgers, chicken nuggets, kebabs etc, sometimes they will have a paella tray and sangria on tap which is delicious. Portinatx is a small village, great for families. There is a waterpark alongside the hotel which was fun. I did think it was a bit dated and it could do with a good clean and a new paint job. But nevertheless it did the job and it was great for both my boys, we also had a chance to go on the slides ourselves for a bit of fun. We booked a mini cooper (soft-top) for a day for 40Euros, we travelled down to Playa de Bossa and had a walk along the beach and had dinner there. Then travelled down to San Antonio Bay – stopped along one of the beached there for an hour or so. Had a walk along the sunset strip in the afternoon and had a nice cocktail and the kids had an ice cream at Café Mambo – it was amazing and the place to be (reminiscing the old days)!! On the way back we stopped at Ibiza Town and had a walk in the castle taking all the views of the port etc. It was an amazing day and we all loved it. The beaches are great, two lovely coves with plenty to do. Very shallow so the kids can play. Hired some padlows, get the one with the slide, great fun to jump off into the sea. Unfortunately my husband lost his wedding ring whilst diving. Make sure you take some bread with you on the padlows because the little fishes will jump up and eat the bread, the kids loved it. The banana boat was great, had a few goes on it. We stayed all inclusive at the hotel but you must go to the Zoolo bar at night for a cocktail before going home. The beach is lovely for the kids to play at night whilst your drinking your cocktail. AMAZING HOLIDAY, I could go on and on. We must book again with Ibiza Spotlight, get Suite No.2 (the middle one), great for the 4 of us. Thanks Ibiza Spotlight!!!!!!!!!! We will see you again.
