Cadenza Ibiza: Hobo Techno!!

After all the pre-season hype, then Ushuaia drama, you'd be forgiven for thinking Luciano and crew had used up all their joker cards!

Well, in predictable journalist lingo, "you're wrong", because as the Sunday parties at Pacha continue to find their feet, we've been thrown curve ball number 3 of this particular soap opera. The news being that Luciano & Friends will begin another Sunday pre-party session, this time at the gourmet restuarant, sushi spot, lounge, chill bar......Novum.

The venue that looks like it has had an absolute fortune spent on it - to create a KM5 of the north if you like - is set to be transformed into a makeshift open-air club to all intents and purposes, with the Foie Gras exchanged for Vodka Limons and the white linen trouser wearing jet-set out and Ed Hardy wearing Italians in. How's that for upsetting the apple cart?

Moving onto Pacha, the first few weeks have served as evidence to anyone that doubted it that Ibiza really is unique when it comes to promoting a party. So whilst even Luciano in Ibiza isn't a guaranteed sell out, having the line-ups that Cadenza have for the rest of the year will certainly help.

Many of the names on show are actually unprecedented as far as Ibiza goes, or at least very rare: Daniel Bell and Theo Parrish are two stand out heavyweights barely even heard of amongst Ibiza clubland. Moreover, there is support from Henrik Schwarz, Stimming, DJ Koze, Stacey Pullen and Carl Craig.

Daniel Bell and Theo Parrish

For music lovers, you don't really need to add much to those names, they speak for themselves. The trick for Cadenza however, is actually to find words - in the language of the masses - to make their fiesta the destination event that all the great parties of Ibiza have managed to do.

For your education, here's some tracks you should know about by some of the artists mentioned above.

Daniel Bell - Losing Control (Peacefrog 1994)

Stimming - Una Pena (Diynamic 2008)

Theo Parrish - Falling Up (Carl Craig Remix) (Syncrophone 2007)

For the record, we'd just like to state that Vagabundos is the Spanish word for "tramps", so 'Hobo Techno' seemed quite apt!
