To celebrate their own 25th Anniversary, Mixmag Magazine recently announced awards for the clubbing scene over the last 25 years. And with each category voted for by Mixmag readers, the results offer a decent look at what the general clubber was feeling.
In one of the toughest categories, Cream (in Liverpool) won the coveted Best Club Of The Last 25 Years award, fighting off some pretty strong competition from the likes of the Hacienda, Ministry of Sound, Godskitchen and Gatecrasher.
Such is the success of Cream, that if a similar compeition were held here, then Cream Ibiza would be one of the favourites to win that also.
Other awards included The Top 25 Dance Tunes Of The Last 25 Years – another tough one which was won by Underworld – Born Slippy.
Carl Cox was officially voted as the Top DJ, coming top of the list which saw Fat Boy Slim, Sasha, Pete Tong and Tiesto as runners up. And like Cream, Carl Cox is still going strong here in Ibiza – no sign of the fire dying out quite yet !
With all these top DJ´s still playing regularly at the Ibiza superclubs, it´s clear that Ibiza is still the place to go for a top clubbing experience.
