Laurent Garnier and friends back in Ibiza

Another strong night for Laurent Garnier and a successful Safehouse event.

After the Spinclub special party the week before, this Tuesday saw another Safehouse one-off event, which promised much ... but did it deliver ..?

In a word, yes it did but better than even we had hoped for. Ok, that´s more than a word but this was a night that justified a better description !

Space discoteca

While Laurent Garnier deservedly took the main billing, and indulged us all with a double set in the discoteca and inside terrace, he was really matched all the way by the other guest dj´s.

In particular, Yousef (below) on the night was brilliant. One of the best dj´s around, and one of the most-under-rated, Yousef played out in the discoteca until the end of the night. With a lively set of house and tech-house music, he really got the main room stirring and the energy in the room was felt by everyone.

Yousef

Yousef is one of those dj´s that we´ve only seen a few times, yet every time we have he has been exceptional. Much like James Zabiela and Paul Woolford (and a few others), he has delivered to the party crowd every time, which cannot be said of some of the other top dj´s that come to Ibiza each year.

Scan X also deserves a mention as on the night he was pretty good himself, once again the discoteca was feeling the tunes and the atmosphere was something special.

But really tonight was all about Laurent Garnier, who has made a couple of previous visits to Space this summer, for Carl Cox and We Love Space. It´s good to see more of Garnier on the island and we hope to see more of him next year. He played a combo of tech-house, techno and a few house floor-fillers but it seemed to fit in perfectly.

Electro Man at Space !

It wasn´t the busiest of nights, but right now it´s nearing the end of the season and obviously there are fewer people here, but for us it was one of the nights of the summer ... and it meant more room to dance of course !

So no more Tuesdays at Space now ... until next year that is ... will you be here to party with us ?
