It’s all change for Eden in Ibiza this summer

Being a San Antonio club isn’t easy you know.

Eden and Es Paradis have always had to play second fiddle to the larger parties at the other Ibiza nightclubs – Amnesia, Privilege, Pacha, El Divino and Space.

Parties such as Cream, Manumission, Subliminal, Hed Kandi and We Love Space are always going to take people out of San Antonio and, until recently, there was not much reason for people to head back in.

However, this could well be the year that Eden makes San Antonio a cool place to go clubbing again.

Already the home to the biggest night in town, the rather successful Judgement Sunday, Eden has added a few familiar faces to their weekly clubbing schedule.

The biggest news of the summer of course, is the move of Pete Tong to Eden, where he´ll host Wonderland with Groove Armada looking after the back room.

But if you didn´t already know about this ... where have you been ?

Not to be outdone, the Tidy Boys have also moved to Eden – vacating their popular Tuesday night party at Es Paradis to join Dave Pearce for a trance/hard dance mash-up.

Fresh R´n´B grooves are brought to you by Twice As Nice, with Garlands and Mondo Loco providing the house tunes. Koolwaters, now in their second season, still offer a very decent variety of electronic music, including the likes of Stanton Warriors, Stonebridge and the Plump DJ´s.

One thing that can be said about Eden this year is that they are really going for it. After spending a small fortune on re-vamping the club, for the second time in three years, the club this year will be unrecognisable to some.

With an extended Funky Room making space for a few more hundred clubbers, a completely renovated White Room at the top plus two roof terraces to enjoy the night sky ... the changes are all to see.

And if the parties are as good as they look, Eden will be celebrating a very merry 2008.
