7 B2B sessions to see on Ibiza this week

Double the horsepower with our B2B selection this week

We're tearing into the final thrust of the season with the first windfall of filthy-good closing parties this week. In among all the heartbeat-skipping action, we've got hold of a tasty selection of DJs who'll be standing tall, spine to spine, or as we label it in the dance community - B2B. Humans can be greedy by nature so we're all over having not just one voice, but two voices behind the booth, and when they're bouncing off each other like a pair of conkers, it's pure and utter magic.

Tuesday 20 September / Popof B2B Julian Jeweil / Music is Revolution at Space

While your main man, Carl Cox, is cavorting with the pack in the Discoteca for the closing of his Final Chapter at Space, over in La Terraza you've got a French pairing flicking the switches on rotation. Popof, who hails from the Parisian rave scene, and Marseille-born, Julian Jeweil, are all set to unite for what is going to be a banger of a party for Space. Joining forces isn't a new thing for the pair as they've proved their compatibility on numerous occasions over the years. Ça vous dit?

Wednesday 21 September / Loco Dice B2B Kenny Dope / HYTE at Amnesia

United by their predilection for hip-hop, Dice and Dope have a bagful of beats in common. Both excel at crafting grooving hybrids across house, techno and hip-hop. It's old school meets new school with Dope having pumped out his productions since the early noughties and Dice having entered the scene in the millennia. No doubt this will be a top quality set on the basis that you'll be entering their playground with only a mere inkling of what sounds might be holding the fort.

Wednesday 21 September / Jamie Jones B2B Joseph Capriati / Paradise at DC-10

Naples' artful techno crafter, Joseph Capriati, likes himself a bit of Paradise action at the lead of British showman, Jamie Jones. He's already been under DC-10's rooftop for a slice of Wednesday warfare this season, and with one B2B session nailed alongside Jones, there's one final beast to go. So, if you've become a fan of the flavour these two stick in the saucepan, get your wooden spoons out and get in there for a healthy licking.

Friday 23 September / Carlo Lio B2B Nathan Barato / Music On at Amnesia

This Canadian force of horsepower have collaborated on tracks, been on remix duties together and spun their way through a good smacking of B2B sessions. The Canadians will be taking over the main room alongside Music On mainstay, Paco Osuna, and if you're not familiar with the pair, check out their set from this year's Ultra Music festival.

Saturday 24 September / Secondcity B2B Manu Gonzalez / Tribal Sessions at Sankeys

Born in the UK, but raised in Chicago, Secondcity has a unique pan-Atlantic outlook on house and techno tunage and he's been spreading it around big time this summer, with gigs at Pacha, Vista Club, Ushuaïa and of course, Sankeys. Spain's Manu Gonzalez is one of your main residents at Tribal Sessions so he knows this residency inside and out. In August they released their first collaboration, which was given support by Marco Carola, and the pair have rallied their records together on four previous occasions for the tribal mob. This Saturday will be the last in the calendar, so check in and check them out.

Saturday 24 September / George Privatti B2B Mario Biani / elrow at Space

Aside from the gang of international players who've watched the downpour of inflatables do the damage from the safety of the booth, we've laid our eardrums open to sounds from the party's residents. George Privatti and Mario Biani - producers and DJs who both hail from Spain - have got behind elrow's cast of loca characters and flooded our pleasure gates with the kind of uptempo, energising tech house beats that simply cannot erase the smiles – sickeningly cheesy stuff.

Sunday 25 September / Josh Wink B2B Steve Bug / Sundays at Space

As veterans of the underground techno scene with both their dance floor biographies dating back to the '90s, individually they have the know-how and together that's some bomb to detonate. Both run their own highly respected record labels – Ovum for Wink and Poker Flat for Bug – and that, ladies and gentlemen, means that they have an enormous selection of tracks to bring to the table. As the old saying goes, knowledge is power, and they've mountains of it. Prepare to be influenced through the power of the beat.
