For many Ibiza regulars and those of us who live here, September has the honour of being considered the best clubbing month of the year. Certainly, the demographic of island visitor switches to those with more vested interests in nightlife. The clubbers arrive.
After the unruly masses of August, this different profile of tourist combined with cooler temperatures is exactly what Ibiza craves.
The clubs put a renewed focus on their programming to mirror this. That makes September's picks the hardest job of the summer. Within my picks, I'm confident you can find something that resonates with you.

Dusky | Hot Creations | Bora Bora
Friday 4 September
My right-hand gal Lissy Lü pipped me in picking Dusky in her September highlights. Fortunately, the boys play more than one date next month. At the height of the Deep House revival, Dusky's 2013 Careless was one of the era's seminal records, thrusting them into the limelight.
That's exactly the year range - and sound - that the Hot Creations parties at Bora Bora Apartments are tapping into. I'm sure we'll be hearing that track on the day and the crowd reaction will say it all. Careless still goes off.
The last time I saw Dusky on Ibiza, they had me (and everybody else) singing along to The Human League at The Zoo Project in the old seal pit. Nope - not joking. And no shame in any case. That said, I expect this one to be a little higher brow.

Young Marco | Club Knuckles | Hï Ibiza
Friday 4 September
Young Marco's set in Hï Ibiza's Club Room last year was one of my club highlights of 2025. John Summit was playing in The Theatre, so with Young Marco also closing, the room did empty out towards the end, but the vibes never dipped.
Musically, it was faultless. He ended on Belfast by Orbital and sent me and the rest of the stragglers home very happy indeed. He's back next month, again alongside Ewan McVicar, but this time for the Scot's own Club Knuckles. Can lightning strike twice?

Chanel Carmichael | Secret Sessions | Eden
Friday 11 September
It's always nice to be able to feature a friend and I make no secret that Chanel Carmichael is one of those. I've been telling her for years it would be great to be able to list her on our party calendar and I've now finally had the privilege of doing so.
Chanel is a classically trained pianist who has transitioned into DJing and producing electronic music and is well overdue getting recognition on a wider level. Think groovy Deep-Tech, with ominous tones of Techno.
We've partied together at Eden many times in the past, so it feels poetic that she'll now be gracing the booth. In keeping with Secret Session's modus operandi, the night will include an unannounced headliner, but the real secret worth discovering is Chanel.
This also happens to be the day after her birthday, which calls for double celebrations. Cava with the sparklers incoming.

Marie Montexier | Cocoon | 528 Ibiza
Wednesday 23 September
Some choices pick themselves - and that's exactly what Marie Montexier did.
A DJ who wasn't even on my radar three months ago, put herself in the shop window when I happened to catch her playing for Ewan McVicar's Club Knuckles back in May. I love discovering new artists and Marie's track selection instantly had me in a headlock.
Subsequently, I was thrilled to see her added to the Cocoon line-up for its return to 528 Ibiza in September. I can see why she would appeal to Sven, too. It's a match made in heaven.

Jeff Mills | Pyramid | Amnesia
Sunday 27 September
One of the most singular artists in the history of electronic music makes his long-awaited island return in September. Back in the day, you could bank on Jeff Mills turning up on the We Love roster. Somewhat unbelievably, we've yet to see him in the post-pandemic era. In fact, he hasn't played here since an appearance at Sankeys IBZ in 2014. Sacrilege.
That wrong is put right, as Detroit Techno's most famous son is booked to play Amnesia's flagship underground party Pyramid on 27 September. The bells will ring.
If that isn't enough for you, you can check-out recommendations from Lissy by clicking on the link in sky blue.
Tickets to all five of Steve's picks can be found on our party calendar, along with extensive listings at the island's best clubs.
