Latin phenomenon La Cucaracha heads to Teatro Pereyra

After conquering dancefloors in Madrid and Puerto Rico, La Cucaracha makes the iconic venue its island home.

Teatro Pereyra has announced La Cucaracha as its headline summer residency, bringing one of Madrid's fastest-growing Latin music concepts to Ibiza every Saturday throughout July, August and September.

Beginning on Saturday 4 July, the residency adds a new dimension to the historic venue's seasonal programme, combining live music, DJs, dance and a community-driven atmosphere that has helped La Cucaracha build a devoted following in Madrid and Puerto Rico over the past eighteen months.

Established as one of the most talked-about parties on Madrid's contemporary Latin scene, La Cucaracha has built its reputation on a musical approach that moves freely between genres. Salsa Brava, Merengue, Bachata, Plena, Boogaloo, Classic Reggaeton, Afro House and urban sounds all share the same space, creating an experience where traditional and contemporary influences go side by side.

At the heart of the concept is the attempt to overcome any barriers between performers and audience. Live bands, DJ sets and spontaneous moments of collective dancing combine to create an environment where taking part becomes an integral part of the experience.

The residency forms part of Teatro Pereyra's wider programme, which this season introduced WHO, a concept that brings together fine dining, performing arts and live music under one roof. On Saturdays, once the show concludes, La Cucaracha takes over the venue with its distinctive blend of tropical rhythms, dance culture and communal celebration.

The addition forms part of a broader expansion of Teatro Pereyra's cultural programme, which continues to introduce new musical formats and event series while reinforcing its position as one of Ibiza's leading cultural venues.

La Cucaracha opens on Saturday 4 July. Tickets are available via the Teatro Pereyra website.
