The former Children of the 80s revives at Amnesia as Rememberland
Amnesia will host a new party this summer called Rememberland. REMEMBERLAND, a project, Steeped in the culture of old school dance music, hones in on the club's 50th anniversary celebration. While the name may be new, little else will change.
The party that captures the spirit of a staple event that, for the past ten seasons, has brought together thousands of attendees every Friday at the then-famous Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, now projecting it into one of the most iconic venues on the island.
Every Friday from 15 May until 9 October, Rememberland takes over the Terraza in a 19:30 to 23:30 evening slot. Think of it as the ultimate pre-party. Those who want to keep dancing can stay on at Glitterbox, which immediately follows.
Resident DJs Dream Team (Toni Peret and Quique Tejada) and La Movida (DJ Petit and Vázquez) (all pictured together above) will continue to spearhead the new incarnation of the party. The artistic set design team that worked at COT80s the last ten years also stay on.
Just as its predecessor, Rememberland will journey through the archive of Pop and dance anthems from down the decades, integrating performances, entertainment and staging in a hybrid format between party and show.
You can expect a whole lot of surprises on the dancefloor with live acts, performances and theatrical moments.
The production will incorporate lighting and special effects, immersive visuals and passion animation team, generating an atmosphere of active excitement at all times.
The essence of the party will remain intact, but the new setting and format will allow the experience to reach new heights. A spokesperson for the club said:
"Amnesia has always been a club built around the dancefloor and the community that gathers there. As a family business with five decades of history on the island, we believe in projects that connect generations and celebrate club culture at its core.
Rememberland fits naturally into this spirit with which we are celebrating our 50th anniversary."
