Nervous energy: 35 years of chaos & classics at Chinois Ibiza

From its Hip-Hop roots to House legends, the Nervous story continues during IMS.

Still as loud and legendary as ever, renowned NYC imprint Nervous Records is turning 35 this year. To mark the special occasion, it's throwing a birthday bash at Chinois Ibiza on Wednesday 22 April as part of International Music Summit (IMS).

After what is set to be a historic IMS panel where attendees can get the industry lowdown from behind the scenes, Nervous is bringing along some core family members to showcase its sound for one night only.

With a lineup that reads like a love letter to dance music history, groove-heavy classics are guaranteed as Todd Terry headlines, while Josh Wink dives into the trippy, rave-era sounds that made Don't Laugh an all-time club weapon.

Adding to the heat, Oscar G will bring his signature tribal rhythms and Harry Romero delivers that unmistakable Subliminal-style punch. Capping off, a proper hands-in-the-air moment comes from Julie McKnight. Her soulful vocals that made Finally a timeless anthem.

Just as much a family reunion as it is a history lesson, the US House music powerhouse is determined to showcase exactly what it's all about.

Since launching in 1991, the east cost label has been a driving force in both underground House and Hip-Hop, building a reputation thanks to its unmistakable cartoon logo, a fearless approach to championing new artists and knack for identifying a number one hit from a mile away.

From early House tracks like Sandy B’s Feel Like Singing, to helping put Brooklyn Hip-Hop back on the map with Black Moon and Smif-N-Wessun, Nervous has never stayed in one lane for long.

Even in the modern era, Nervous is still releasing gems. In the last twelve months it has put out Mau P's The Less I Know The Better, Marco Faraone's Like That and Just Us Two by a certain Lissy Lübeck... (shameless plug incoming!) Take a listen above.

Tickets are available now. You can them on sale below or via our party calendar.
