Are you a raver firmly in the 30+ category? Do the halcyon years of 2012 to 2014 especially resonate with you? Then Forward Motion at O Beach Ibiza could be the party for you.
After a couple of one-off parties the last two seasons, Forward Motion has landed its first residency this summer. Now we can reveal that Forward Motion has secured Secondcity as a headliner for its 4 May opening party.
Best known for his 2014 crossover hit, I Wanna Feel, Secondcity has released on decorated labels such as Toolroom, Circus and dirtybird. Showing his pedigree, he's also collaborated with the likes of Paul Woolford, George Smeddles and Mark Fanciulli in the studio.
Being born in the UK, but spending his formative years growing up in the home of House music, Chicago, Secondcity is international in the truest sense of the word. His pan-Atlantic upbringing has given him a unique perspective on electronic music.
Given Secondcity was enjoying a career high point in 2014, that makes him the perfect fit for a party that honours a very specific cultural and musical timeline. I Wanna Feel certainly bears all the hallmarks of being a certified Forward Motion favourite.
Artists of his stature are still an exception, rather than the rule, at O Beach, although we can expect similar names to be attached to Forward Motion once the rest of the line-up is announced.
Secondcity is joined at the opening party by Jnr. Windross, Boon, Tom Grimes and one of Forward Motion's partners, Steven Cee. O Beach residents Jamie Love and Sam Dungate complete the bill.
Forward Motion takes place on the first Monday of every month from May to October.
All six parties are on sale now, with tickets available below.
