Long-term Pacha affiliate Roger Sanchez has been installed as new host of Flower Power.
The club's longest running party, having launched in the summer of 1981 under original founder Ricardo Urgell, has a new look heading into the forthcoming season.
DJ and club have been synonymous since the early Noughties, when Sanchez threw his Release Yourself parties at the club. In recent years, they have rekindled their relationship as the group fell under new ownership.
Now, they continue their journey together on peak-season Saturdays.
The opening party is set for 13 June. The closing party takes place ten weeks later on 29 August.
As well as headlining his own dates during opening and closing party season, the S-Man has been a recurring face at Flower Power the last two years.
With former host Bora Uzer outgoing, the New York native is a natural replacement ticking all the right boxes.
While live act Bora's appointment was viewed as a leftfield bet for many, few can say the same about Roger Sanchez. Not only is he tightly woven into the history of the club, but his reputation as one of House music's most respected elder statesmen means he arrives in credit.
It has been clear how highly-regarded Sanchez is to the power brokers behind FIVE Holding, so the only real surprise it that it has taken them so long to make him an offer.
We tend to take the view that progression is the only way to move forward. But with Pacha handing new residencies to Franky Rizardo, Chris Stussy and Vintage Culture, why shouldn't one of the industry's most decorated veterans be given a seat at the table too?
Tickets for all ten dates are on sale now and available to buy below.
