Hedonism revives as Manumission goes big with 3-day weekender

3 days. 3 venues. 1 manu-mission.

Brace yourselves for a nostalgia overload as Andy, Clare & Mike reunite after a whopping 18-year hiatus with a monumental Manumission extravaganza this summer, promising to revive those 1998 vibes.

The institutional party, whose name translates as ‘freedom from slavery’, was once the symbol for pleasure-seekers and escapism, and is making its return with not one, not two, but three days of let-loose fun and whimsical chaos.

Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, the team will transform three venues, Pikes Ibiza, 528 Ibiza and Ibiza Rocks' Bar M into vibrant, otherworldly spaces with DJs and performances that recall the party’s late-'90s extravagance.

Andy McKay, Co-Founder, Manumission, said:

To Ibiza or the global dance community, maybe the big news is that after 18 years, Manumission, once the world’s biggest weekly event, is back, but to me, this is far more personal. The opportunity for me to reunite with Mike and Clare again is beyond exciting - the two of them are a creative whirlwind.

Claire Manumission, Co-Owner & Creative Director, said:

MIRACLES HAPPEN. Manumission came to life in a small gay club in Manchester. But for me, it was born in Ibiza. Imagine you could find yourself immersed in the intoxicating atmosphere of 1998. A living piece of theatre.

The action will unfold across three days and venues, each transformed into a playground of colour, sound, and spectacle, alongside theatrical shows, dancers, and, of course, unexpected surprises.

Full line-up and ticket info to be announced soon.
