Today is a good day for fans of Melodic Techno, as two of Amnesia's Friday headline residents Mathame and MRAK release new music.
Both acts have singles out today, Friday 25 July, landing right in time for their respective parties to start.
Fresh from closing the Main Room at the RESISTANCE opening party this week, Mathame's own residency, NEO, runs from 8 August to 29 August. A highly requested ID from their sets, brothers Amedeo and Matteo have now finally released Love Somebody via Virgin.
Featuring sharp percussion and a purring low-end, the track has been around since as far back as 2023 and is very reflective of the music the duo were producing during that era.
They said, "Love Somebody was born almost two years ago! We love blending energies and building experiences that reflect both the world we've been shaping over the past few years and the spontaneous ideas that come to us in the moment."
After Mathame's four date run, MRAK's Amnesia's residency starts on 5 September and finishes on 19 September.
MRAK, AKA Karmine Conte (formerly one half of Tale Of Us), has put out the three-track EP Smoke on his own Afterlife Records imprint. It includes the title track, as well as Nobody with Asal and All Of The Lights with Braev.
Smoke is a dark cut, with firmly rooted drums anchoring the groove. Scintillating synth progressions inject emotion and a vocal drifts through the fog, adding a ghostly touch. The introduction of a Trance chord elevates listeners to a heightened state.
Since Tale Of Us disbanded, the MRAK solo project allows Karm to explore a more introspective creative journey, in which he delves into the more conceptual and experimental realms of his artistry. It establishes the music itself as the medium for storytelling, rather than the visuals.
Both Love Somebody and Smoke are available to stream and download on all reputable online platforms.
