Since it debuted last summer, Barcelona-based festival promoter Brunch Electronik has been on a streak. In that short time, it has consistently programming some of Ibiza’s top open-air parties to the highest of standards.
Drawing an authentic and energetic crowd from across the globe, it has become one of my personal favourites. No matter the line-up, I'm always keen to see how each edition evolves from the last.
For their second 2025 takeover of 528 Ibiza, Brunch Electronik brought in none other than Swiss Melodic Techno duo Adriatique for closing duties. From live sets at Tomorrowland to Cercle performances in exotic locations, they were sure to set the tone for another exceptional party.
Disappoint, they did not.
Adriatique delivered the kind of set that has earned them a diehard following in Melodic Techno circles. They duly delivered a masterfully controlled ascent, from emotional slow-burners to groove-laden peaks. Though perhaps cliché, I'll say it anyway: we were taken on a journey.
Blending cinematic overtures with crisp, floaty melodies and tight percussive rhythms, their sound felt tailor-made for the open-air venue.
Tracks stretched and shimmered, with long, moody breakdowns and eruptive releases that had hands in the air across the floor. The duo’s synergy behind the decks was undeniable, with fluid transitions and a firm grip on the energy of the dancefloor. The crowd went with everything.
Our track highlights of the night included Caribou's masterpiece Can't Do Without You remixed by Tale Of Us & Mano Le Tough and their own remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL's In the Moment. Both tunes hit different, adding an emotional arc to the dancefloor journey.
Just when we thought we were deep in the feels, they flipped the vibe with El House on the peerless Cecille Records, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
An hour and a half flew by like it was nothing. Adriatique proved themselves the perfect fit for Brunch Electronik's booking ethos of intelligent, high-calibre electronic music artists.
It’s safe to say we can’t wait to catch them again. Nor can we wait for the next starry edition of Brunch Electronik.
