About Pacha's Grand Opening Weekend
Taking place the same weekend as International Music Summit (IMS), Pacha Ibiza's Grand Opening Weekend brings together all the elements that have made the club the most recognised brand in nightlife worldwide over a full three day programme. The cherries are gonna gleam!
After getting the ball rolling the night before, Pacha opens its doors for its part two, handing the floor to its regular Sunday night custodian, Solomun. It may still be early in the season, but this weekend is shaping up to be one of Ibiza's hottest opening weekends in history.

Ibiza Town is the capital of the island. You'll find a metropolitan centre, the Old Town and the port area, each with its own character, vibe and plenty of lively bars to start your evening. They're about a 10-15 minute walk from Pacha or a short taxi ride.
For those traveling to the resort, you can take the L3 disco bus from San Antonio or the less frequent L13 from the direction of Santa Eulalia. There is a taxi rank immediately outside the club, as well as cafes, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Many open late-night.

Who?
It could only be one man at the helm for this special occasion. Roll out the red carpet.
Solomun is Pacha's Sunday night host, as well as being the brand's go-to guy for handling Opening Party duties. Such a high-intensity gig requires a sturdy pair of hands - and few are safer than the big Balkan's.
Far from feeling the nerves, the big man will revel in the spotlight. No one commands the booth with the same authoritative presence. In fact, the latest incarnation of the DJ booth was designed and positioned with Solomun in mind. It's custom made.

What?
Solomun has a record bag unlike any other DJ.
While the artist has form from moving through eras, from his cosmic Disco days of Diynamic Neon Nights to the Melodic Techno of the mid 2010s, there has been recent debate as to what direction Solomun is headed musically.
Shouty, post-Punk vocals, layered over Tech House beats, have seeped into his club and festival sets in recent years, while there is also a noticeable Hip-Hop influence never far from the surface.
The discussion even made its way into the columns of The New Yorker. Solomun courts controversy!
While his music selection may have shifted, one thing that didn't change was the dancefloor filling up early and staying packed all night. No questioning the energy of the room. If Solomun has moved, as now seems inarguable, then his loyal crowd has been happy to move with him.
