Ibiza Coronavirus Update (25) 14-09-2021

This latest news update is a good one.

Finally, the news we have been waiting for all summer - the night-time restrictions have finally been removed! Ibiza will move to the medium risk category and have rules in line with rest of the Balearic Islands.

As the epidemiological situation has improved and rate of Covid-19 infections is dropping fast, the Govern Balear has announced that, with effect from 00:00 on Wednesday 15 September, the night-time limits on social gatherings, which were in place from 02:00 to 06:00, will cease to exist. This status will remain until midnight on Wednesday 29 September, when the situation will be re-evaluated once again.

  • Restaurants and bars: Inside, maximum 8 persons per table. Outside, maximum 12 persons per table. Must be closed at 02:00.
  • Social gathering: Without restriction.
  • Beaches and Parks: Remain closed to the public from 00:00 to 06:00

Smoking remains prohibited within a bar/restaurant environment, and masks remain compulsory inside all public premises and on public transport.

The Govern has also announced that passenger locator forms will no longer be necessary for fully vaccinated internal travellers, arriving from other parts of Spain, with immediate effect from today, Tuesday 14 September.

Furthermore, for all visitors over the age of 12 (before it was 6), it will now be sufficient to present a copy of the Covid vaccination certificate, a negative test result or proof of having passed the disease, upon arrival from other parts of Spain.
