Hotel of the week: Palladium Don Carlos

Top couples' 4-star

When choosing a hotel to stay on Ibiza, there are lots of choices from high-end luxury to unbeatable budget. You'll find all kinds in our hotels pages, plus there's apartments and villas too.

At the higher end of the spectrum is the well-appointed Palladium Don Carlos, a four-star all-inclusive hotel located in Siesta, just outside Santa Eulalia across from the island's only river and moments from the sea. This hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway for two or for a set of couples, looking for high levels of comfort, the peace and tranquility of the surrounding pine trees and fast access to the beach.

The hotel has been completely refurbished in a modern and avant-garde style with plush fabrics and bright colours mixed with muted Mediterranean shades. The Standard Double rooms are spacious and include lots of touches like big screen satellite TV and a well-equipped bathroom with a hydro-massage shower. At the top end, the Preferential Rooms have amazing sea views and large outside terraces with a Jacuzzi and sun loungers.

The pool terrace with its large wood-decking area boasts a communal Jacuzzi, Balinese sunbeds, sun loungers with underwater loungers and water jets in the pool – It makes the perfect place to relax in style, and you don't even need to leave the hotel. The Don Carlos has many modern facilities, which include a gym and a wellness centre offering special couples' treatments and will even arrange your airport transfer.

There's a full entertainments menu with sports activities by day and lots of open-air evening performances with live music and dance. For food, choose from the elegant Mediterranean restaurant or for more variety the buffet restaurant. There are two nicely designed bars with some gorgeous cocktails and all kinds of mixers and beers. You are sure to be never bored at this hotel, which really does think of everything to help you have a chilled and relaxed holiday.
