It's a funny old thing celebrityhood, you could be so famous in your home country

It's a funny old thing celebrityhood, you could be so famous in your home country that you can't walk out the door without being mobbed by crowds of paparazzi and in another country stroll about in total anonymity.

Well, Ibiza was invaded by a phalanx of Spanish celebrities last week, none of whom would have an eyelid batted at them anywhere else in the world. Mar Flores, a model, music TV presenter and soap star breezed in with her husband, Javier Merino, who is also famous for something, and flitted about in their boat in the Marina Botafoch area.

Ana García Obregón, star of a non-hilarious comedy series called 'Ana y los Siete' was here to kick off a charity football match in aid of the Asian Tsunami disaster. Also present - just to add paparazzi spice - was Davor Súker, her former boyfriend and football player, along with other exponents of the world's favourite game López Ufarte, Miguel Ángel Nadal, Martín Vázquez and ex Spanish national team manager José Antonio Camacho.

Finally the popular actress, Ana Duato, star of 'Tell me how it Happened' was here for a few days to soak up the rays and stayed at her house on the island with husband, film producer Miguel Ángel Bernardéu.

What a star studded week!
