Lightning Strikes Twice

It doesn't seem that long ago that we reported that Balearia's new super fast ferry the Al Sabini, had broken down on its maiden voyage after 'sailing' through all its arduous pre journey tests.

This week we have to report that the very same thing happened again with the new fast catamaran 'Milenium Dos,' recently purchased by Trasmediterrania to run the Valencia-Ibiza-Palma route.

Built in Tasmania and recently arrived from Barcelona, the cat completed all its tests successfully; docking, loading and unloading cars etc, but then broke down on the very last minute as it was about to leave Palma with 400 passengers on board. However the good news is that the ferry has been repaired and has recuperated its original timetable!
