The five taxi associations have now reached an agreement to unify the rates for taxi journeys all over the island.
Incredibly for such a small island, the rates for travel between the boroughs were all different, depending on the origin of the journey. They have also confirmed that by the 'first days of May' all taxis on the island will have meters which will charge these new rates.
