May festivities in Santa Eulalia

A month of events celebrating tradition, culture and community in Santa Eulalia.

The Town Hall of Santa Eulalia has prepared a diverse programme to celebrate the probably biggest festivity of the town, 'The First Sunday of May', also coinciding with the celebration of Mother's Day. Already before this date and then all of May, there are lots of events and activities.

The programme remains faithful to its tradition: vintage cars, sports tournaments, theatre for adults and children, flower exhibitions, and more.

These are the main highlights:

Saturday 25 April

  • 10:00 to 20:00 Book day (Paseo S'Alamera, the small ramblas in the centre of the town)

Saturday 2 May

  • 18:30 Opening of the May fair at paseo s'alamera
  • 20:00 Concert by Ibossim Flamenco at Plaza de España
  • 21:00 Concert by Funambulista at Plaza de España
  • 23:00 Correpoble with Dj Vazquez
  • Midnight - 'Correfoc' with Es Mals Esperits (The bad spirits), a spectacle with devils lighting up fireworks

Sunday 3 May

  • All day - First Sunday of May, Festival of Cultural Interest – solemn mass, parade of traditional carts, vintage cars, motorbikes and animals, floral exhibition
  • 17:30 Disco Summer dream by Hippy House at the main beach of Santa Eulalia

Friday 8 May

  • 17:00 The Romería to the Creu d'en Ribes is a traditional pilgrimage walk in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza, leading to a symbolic cross located on a nearby hill known as Ribes. It starts from Plaza de España

Sunday 10 May

  • 19:00 Romería of the Santa Eulalia Rociero Choir (a traditional pilgrimage with music and prayers), followed by Mass, gathering at the Lourdes Chapel.

Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 May

  • Barruguet Festival (theatre for the whole family)
