Santa Eulalia has just published a modest Christmas, New Year, and Three Kings programme, ideal for those who prefer a more traditional festive atmosphere.
The programme also includes smaller events taking place in other villages, such as Santa Gertrudis, San Carlos, Puig d'en Valls, and Jesús, all within the borough of Santa Eulalia.
From 5 December until 5 January, the traditional Christmas market, featuring gift and food stalls as well as family activities, will take place on the Paseo de s'Alamera in Santa Eulalia.
For the little ones, there will be storytelling sessions on various days, along with classic Christmas films to inspire their imaginations.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Friday, 5 December: 18:00 The Christmas tree lights are switched on.
- Monday, 8 December: From 17:00 - 19:00. Expand your creativity at the Christmas floral workshop, where you can master the art of floral arrangements. There will also be children's workshops and a concert, offering enchanting experiences for the whole family at Paseo de s'Alamera in Santa Eulalia
- Wednesday, 10 December: From 17:00 - 19:00 Get into the festive spirit with carol singing and a cooking workshop. Sing along to traditional Christmas melodies and learn new recipes to enhance your holiday feast at Paseo de s'Alamera in Santa Eulalia
- Thursday 11, Friday 12, and Saturday 13 December From 19:00–21:00: Enjoy the stunning videomapping projections on the façade of the town hall.
- Friday, 19 December: 20:30 Catch the performance of Dinner for One at the Teatro España in Santa Eulalia.
- Tuesday, 24 December: 11:00 Santa Claus himself visits Santa Eulalia, spreading joy and cheer to children of all ages. Witness the excitement as he makes his special appearance.
- Saturday, 27 December: 20:00 Christmas carols with the Santa Eulalia 'Rociero Choir' (musical group that performs Christmas carols and popular Spanish songs in a lively Andalusian style, with guitars and rhythmic hand-clapping) right after mass at Santa Gertrudis church.
- New Year's Eve: After toasting to the new year, from 00:30 to 04:30, enjoy a spectacular New Year's Eve party with DJs and acrobatic performances at the Teatro España in Santa Eulalia. Meanwhile, the village of Puig d'en Valls hosts its own big party on the local football field.
- Friday, 2 January: 20:00 Be mesmerised by the International Ballet Company's performance of Ballet. 'Swan Lake', at the Palacio de Congresos.
- Monday, 5 January: The grand finale of the season arrives as the Three Kings visit the island to greet children. Delight in the magical procession as it winds through Santa Eulalia, spreading joy and wonder.
- Saturday, 10 January 11:00 Parish Choir Concert of San Carlos.
- Sunday, 11 January 19:00 Piano concert by María José Perete, held in the Parish Centre of San Carlos.
