The film is, in the words of its director: "A metaphor on how human beings, by overexploiting the planet for his ambition, destroys himself."
Filmed entirely in Ibiza, El Secreto de Ibosim tells the story of Manuel, a powerful businessman who, after discovering that there is a precious mineral under the island, is ready to destroy it blinded by his greed. But the island, a living entity, will magically ruin Manuel, preventing him from following his plan. He, seeing himself ruined, feels that his life no longer has meaning and will try to commit suicide, throwing himself into the sea. Again, mysteriously and magically, the island will intervene avoiding his death, giving him a second chance to relearn the values that he once had and that money and power made him forget.
