The 'Mercat Vell', the Old Market of Ibiza Town, is celebrating its 150 anniversary in 2023. To mark this special occasion, the Ibiza Town Hall, along with the Consell d'Eivissa and local associations, has organized a diverse programme of activities suitable for all ages and interests.
Here are the programme highlights:
- SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER
12:00: Opening ceremony, featuring a parade of carts and traditional dances.
12:30: Saxophone ensemble performance and tasting of typical products.
From 17:00 onwards: Traditional games and a screening of the video "History of the Mercat Vell"
19:00: Performance by Querencia Flamenco group.
Throughout the day: Craft market. - SUNDAY 8 OCTOBER
12:00: Traditional dances, followed by a performance by Pitiusax and tasting of typical products.
From 17:00 to 18:30: Children's games with S'Espurna. - FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER
20:30: Flower Power party with DJ Javi Box and Ibiza Light Festival performance. - SUNDAY 22 OCTOBER
12:00: Children's Flower Power party with DJ, workshops, make-up and more. - SATURDAY 28 OCTOBER
From 11:30 to 14:00: Halloween party at the Mercat Vell, featuring Acrobatik Espectáculos, Kairos and Del Blanco Producciones. The event includes workshops, make-up and a gymkhana.
20:00: Tunnel of terror for children (ages 12 and older). - SUNDAY 29 OCTOBER
12:00: Gymkhana for families and a bargain fair in La Marina neighborhood. - WEDNESDAY 1 NOVEMBER
