After an emotional farewell several years ago, island institution Bora Bora is reborn in summer 2026, though not exactly as we knew it... The brand is being resurrected by NuSun and SubDivision promotions, this time as a party, giving clubbers new and old another chance to dance.
Back not so long ago - and certainly in the memories of Ibiza veterans - Bora Bora was the archetypal definition of beachside partying. It was here, on this hallowed piece of Playa d'en Bossa sand that sun-scorched bodies danced to electronic music's summer hits, with a drink in one hand and waving to the low-flying planes overhead with the other.
Named after one of the most beautiful island locations in the world, this was the beach bar that helped put Ibiza on the map.
It's afternoon sessions were legendary - especially those that took place on Sunday, alongside We Love at Space which, at the time, still offered pass-outs to all customers - unheard of in today's era! It meant that clubbers could flit between the two with ease.
Beyond all else, it was a venue that mastered the fine balance between club, bar and beach.
You could always expect cool, underground vibes from a variety of respected international DJs and residents. It was not all party-party-party, there was also a more chilled side to Bora Bora. That's probably why its reputation lingers to this day, long after the bricks and mortar gave way to something modern.
The last vestiges of Bora Bora still standing is the namesake apartments - and it's across here, in the accommodation's newly remodelled stage, courtyard and pool area (previously known as El Patio), and Playa Soleil that these new series of branded parties will take place.
DJs confirmed so far include (A-Z) Bohem, Guti (live), Hernán Cattáneo and LUM.
The first party takes place on Sunday 28 June with more dates TBA.
