Primavera Sound Festival announces 2016 line-up

More than 150 artists disclosed for its 16th edition. This is big.

Barcelona city will once again greet the next edition of one of its oldest and most popular festivals of the year, Primavera Sound. The event will be held from Wednesday 1st to Saturday 4th June, offering an incredibly eclectic line up in which the musical diversity has become its main point of attraction. More than 150 artists that will be on stage to satisfy a wide variety of demanding ears.

Apart from such headliners as British artists Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, Tame Impala or the French pop duo Air, the electronic music genre wears the crown in this edition with a large number of representatives in comparison to previous years.

Sam Shepherd, aka Floating Points, will delight the audience with a live presentation of his last work, Elaenia's album, followed by the German trio Moderat (Apparat and the Modeselektor duo) who also will come with new material to share. Kiasmo's duo, Ibiza killer Maceo Plex, DJ Koze, Pantha du Prince, DJ Richard, Hudsdon Mohawke, DâM-FunK and Evian Christ complete the squad of the electronic representation, a great mix of sub-genres by the hand of high class artists of our beloved scene.

But that is not all. Since Monday 30th of May and during the whole week, the organisation will be hosting concurrent events, shows and parties over the city in order to spread the benefits of the musical and festival culture to all wallets. Throughout the sixteen years the festival has been working, its popularity has spread like wildfire thanks to their commitment to bringing international artists, new talents and innovative proposals to the country; a promise that has guaranteed them several awards of ‘best festival of the year'.
