Smokin' Jo brings decades of dance music history to Ibiza next week as she makes her long-awaited Flash debut at Pikes Ibiza for the party's much-loved annual Island Heroes edition, Thursday 13 August.
The pioneering British DJ, producer and author remains one of club culture's true trailblazers. More than 30 years after becoming the first, and still only, woman to be crowned DJ Magazine's DJ of the Year, Smokin' Jo continues to build her legacy on and off the decks, also fresh from releasing her candid autobiography, You Don't Need A Dick To DJ.
The annual Island Heroes party has become a celebration of the DJs, selectors and personalities who have helped shape Ibiza's underground spirit, and this year's line-up more than lives up to the name.
Joining Smokin' Jo is London favourite and Adonis founder Shay Malt, alongside island stalwarts Jo Mills, Willie Graff and Jaegerossa. Flash founder Guy Williams is also on the bill, with residents Jon Jak and S/A/M keeping the dancefloor moving from start to finish.
Completing the roster is ever-charismatic hostess Lucy Fizz, ensuring the party gets its trademark Flash energy both on and off the dancefloor.
Jo's appearance at Flash marks one of the few performances on the island this season, which means this is a hot ticket. And as with most Flash parties, getting your name down sooner rather than later is probably a wise move.
