Fair to say that Bandile and Banele Mbere are enjoying their summer. The twins who you might know better as Major League DJz, have taken their Friday night residency at Chinois Ibiza by storm.
You're most likely to catch them in the booth at the exclusive Ibiza Marina nightspot, of course. That said, the South African brothers have been keen to experience as much of the island away from the decks, as they possibly can.
Dispelling any lingering myth that Ibiza caters exclusively to partying, Major League DJz run down their top recommendations with a refreshing focus on fitness and wellness. We love it when artists embrace the full bounty the island has to offer.
Here's what the Echoes of Tomorrow hosts get up to on a typical day.
Early morning exercise
We're early birds wherever we are in the world. Living in Ibiza for our residency at Chinois Ibiza has given us the chance to experience the island differently.
Most mornings start with a run through Dalt Vila, before the streets fill up or along Talamanca beach while it's still quiet. We've also been connecting with the local running community, including Music Run Club (pictured above) at Mondrian Ibiza.
We run our own run club back home (Phat Boi Run), so running has become one of the best ways to meet people and discover a different side of Ibiza.
When we're not running, we head into the hills for a hike or jump on an off-road bike to explore parts of the island we'd never usually see.
Exploring hidden beaches
Most people know the famous beaches, but now that we're living here, we've started exploring
more of the island. We love jumping in the car and find hidden coves where you can completely switch off.
Cala Olivera (pictured above) and Sol d'en Serra are two that we keep going back to. They're peaceful and the perfect places to slow things down for a few hours.
If we've got meetings, we put together a set list or just catch up on work. Somewhere quiet
always wins. Often the best spots are the ones that take a little more effort to find.
Workout or relaxation
Whether it's training at Ben's Gym or heading to Six Senses (pictured above) for a slower afternoon, looking after yourself is important both on and off stage.
Running is where we do some of our best thinking. It's usually when we're planning what's next, whether that's music, a show concept or business ideas. With how much we travel, having moments to clear your head and reset is just as important as everything that happens on stage.
Evening dining in the marina
Zuma is always one of our favourite spots. Great food, an incredible atmosphere and you're
overlooking the marina as the yachts come in.
The rooftop is what makes it special for us. As the sun goes down, Dalt Vila starts lighting up and the whole skyline changes. The robata grill is always a highlight too. The best part is Chinois is literally downstairs, so after dinner we're only a few steps away from the booth.
Party spot
Chinois Ibiza is our home this summer for Echoes of Tomorrow, every Friday until October.
