Beneath the fortified walls of Dalt Vila, The Amorous Project is making a bold statement on the Ibiza Town restaurant scene. Offering something different from the norm and with its own special flair, it delivers an Italian-American-inspired menu that’s draped in 1920s decor and New York glitz and glamour.
Blending gastronomy, storytelling and an uber-cool atmosphere, a distinctive and edgy dining space has been created. Once a theatre, the stunning interior retains its old-world character through soaring ceilings, mirrored walls, and vintage wooden furniture.
Antique touches are dotted throughout, all brought together under cascading green vines and dazzling chandeliers. At the far end of the restaurant, a set of heavy red curtains hangs above a gold-rimmed stage; a nod to days gone by,
Tables are available on the outside terraces, with views onto the bustling streets of Ibiza Town; however, it's this dramatic interior that steals the show.
Every detail adds to the immersive 1920s New York aesthetic, from embroidered napkins and ceramic tableware to staff dressed in flat caps and braces. The result is a cinematic, jazz-era atmosphere that feels both glamorous and nostalgic.
Fuelled by a melting pot of cultures and cuisines, this era delivered a dynamic gastronomic scene, one that the Amorous Project are reimagining, with their own Mediterranean twist. Their menu is known for reinventing the familiar classic, adding bold flavours and unique presentation to make the dishes become something quite extraordinary.
Served from its own special presentation case, our first dish came with a ‘smoking hot’ theatrical entrance. Cigar-shaped, the crisp edge enveloped a meaty mushroom, truffle, pecorino, and parmesan cheese centre. It didn’t end there, a smoked butter ‘ash’ and Florina pepper sauce, with a picante edge, closed the show.

Making an even grander entrance, the Black Dough Pizza with Jack Daniels Sauce. The crisp, carbonated butter base - made even crispier thanks to its fiery finish - was slathered in a rich, dark, and slightly spiced Jack Daniel's sauce. Balanced by sliced parmesan cheese and, of course, New York-style beef pastrami.
If ever a dish could whisk your mind away to a foreign land, this is it. New York, New York!
After all that show, the Ribeye Steak was the perfect way to ground us back into the moment. Grass-fed, it was perfectly cooked so that the tender meat could be truly appreciated. Served alongside beautifully fluffy, rosemary-infused roasted potatoes.
The simple root vegetable doesn’t often get the appreciation they deserve. Well, not today! Slightly charred, the juicy, sweet flavours of beetroot and carrot were outstanding. The tangy, sweet balsamic glaze and sprinkling of grated pistachio gave an extra edge to the dish.
A surprise addition, Vitello Tonnato is a classic plate from the Piedmont region of Italy. An interesting dish, the tender, sliced veal was immersed in the super creamy tuna and crunchy caper sauce.
The Spaghetto cacio e pepe is another Italian delight. Heaped swirls of al dente spaghetti in creamy Pecorino Romano cheese, and generous amounts of crushed black pepper. The Amorous final touch to make this dish their own: nutty and rich, fresh black truffle.
The drama continued for the final act, in the shape of the Hazelnut praline calzone. Served in an extravagant fashion, the beautifully carved butcher's knife was sliced through the crisp outer edge of the pillow-like calzone, freeing the creamy mascarpone and gooey, nutty, chocolate centre. A sweet-treat lover's dream.
While the menu offers a creative culinary trip that's already enough to grab your attention, it is impossible not to be distracted by your glittering surroundings. The Amorous Project have created an undeniably enchanting dining experience, so, no matter how captivating your dining companions' conversation, expect your gaze and attention to be teased elsewhere.
