Kick the Barre arrives at Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay

Movement, mindfulness and connection.

Morning light spills across Talamanca Bay as Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay prepares to welcome a new wellness experience to its shores this spring. From 31 May to 3 June 2026, the hotel hosts the Residents Edit of Kick the Barre Retreat, a three-night programme that blends movement, recovery and social connection in a setting shaped by Ibiza’s slower coastal rhythm.

Created by wellness entrepreneur and former karate champion Anna Lewandowska, Kick the Barre reworks classical barre training through the addition of martial arts-inspired movement. The result is a discipline that combines controlled precision with bursts of athletic energy, designed to strengthen both body and focus.

Each day begins beside the sea with sessions that move between the technique-led Pure format and the more intensive Strong classes. Lewandowska leads the retreat alongside her team, bringing the method she developed through Edan Studios in Barcelona directly to Ibiza for an intimate programme centred on movement and wellbeing.

Beyond the workouts, the retreat unfolds as a wider immersion into restorative island living. Guests start mornings with breakfast at Chambao by the Beach before moving between training, wellness treatments and guided outdoor experiences. A coastal hike with Ibiza Hike Station explores quieter corners of the island, while the Ibiza Bay Spa introduces advanced biohacking therapies intended to support recovery and reset.

Nutrition also plays a central role throughout the programme. Post-training replenishment comes in the form of organic farm juices and adaptogen blends, while evenings shift towards long-table dining and shared social moments. Highlights include a five-course Omakase dinner at Nobu and a farewell Mediterranean lunch at Chambao by the Beach.

For Lewandowska, whose career spans professional sport, nutrition and wellness education, the retreat reflects a broader philosophy that places equal importance on strength, discipline and enjoyment. Recognised by Forbes Women as one of the leading figures in modern wellness, she has spent more than 15 years developing accessible approaches to movement for women worldwide.

Connection sits at the centre of the Ibiza edition. Whether arriving alone or alongside friends, participants train, dine and unwind together across the three-day programme. The retreat positions itself not simply as a fitness programme, but as an opportunity to reconnect with oneself and others through movement while embracing Ibiza’s more restorative side.

The Residents Edit package costs €1,200 per person and includes the full Kick the Barre itinerary, dining experiences and wellness treatments, excluding accommodation.

Set against the calm waters of Talamanca Bay, the retreat offers a different pace to the start of summer on the island. Here, movement becomes ritual, recovery carries equal weight to exertion, and barefoot luxury takes shape through simple moments shared between sea, sunlight and community.

Residents looking to join the retreat can secure their place now via Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay.
