Set your clocks for an event of paranormal proportions: we have exactly a fortnight to go until fun freak show Namaste Halloween returns to Las Dalias and Akasha on Friday 31 October.
This is the second year in a row that Namaste, the venue's longest-running party, has looked after affairs at the spookiest time of year.
From San Francisco to Goa, and all along the hippy trail, the Namaste Family has travelled backwards and forwards for decades.
During these travels, they dispensed their customs, clothing and hand-crafted goods, but it wasn't only wisdom, skills, services and material items that were exchanged. They also accrued knowledge, traded folkloric tales and acquired new yarns of their own.
Along the way, maybe they also picked up something more sinister... and now, on this one night of the year, the spirits of the dead will coalesce for an almighty fright night.
Needless to say, fancy dress is obligatory. Everybody on Ibiza makes an effort at Halloween. Non-compliance isn't an option, lest you be outcast like the town leper.
Seriously, so much effort and creativity is put into costumes, it would make the wardrobe department on a George A. Romero movie weep! Your mission isn't to shirk involvement, but to fully engage yourself. Namaste doesn't do half measures; it's about committing to a lifestyle.
Children are welcome to the garden leg of the party from open at 19:00 until 22:59, when accompanied by a responsible adult. Island residents get free admission for the first hour of the party, with proof of work contract, rental agreement or residency card.
Akasha club is adult-only and runs from 23:00 till late.
You can expect all your Namaste favourites for this one: most of We The People, Gaya Brisa, Karuna, Andino, Joselito and Marco Tegui are all likely to feature. Exact line-up TBA.
