Mathame's NEO takes Amnesia beyond the event horizon

A Sci-Fi journey into the future on peak-season Friday nights.

Following an impressive debut season last year, Mathame's NEO returned to Amnesia with even greater ambition in 2025. Created by the internationally acclaimed Italian duo, the concept blurs the lines between electronic music, immersive visuals and raw cinematic atmosphere.

NEO frames itself as a euphoric journey; not only a bold artistic statement, but a ritual of sound and light that pulls you into an unapologetically forward thinking dimension.

Mathame's NEO takes Amnesia beyond the event horizon

We rocked up for the second instalment of this summer's residency, in time to catch Lyke on opening duties. The young Italian's soaring melodic sensibilities and full-fledged productions have made him an integral member of NEO.

Lyke wasted no time in warming up the floor, weaving through a set that balanced emotional euphoria with driving, harder-edged moments. His own productions shone brightly, fully embracing the NEO aesthetic.

Just when we thought we had him figured out, he dropped a thundering rework of Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out of My Head. A curveball that gave the dancefloor a fresh injection of energy.

At 02:00, the baton passed to Agoria, the night's wildcard.

Shifting gears with a House-driven set before Mathame's headline billing, the Sapiens Records maestro blurred the lines between deep, tribal and driving grooves, serving up a journey that kept the crowd guessing at every turn. It's these less predictable sets, we are most charmed by.

Rawfox's Boss Bitch set the tone with its punchy edge, before he flipped the mood completely with Block Party by Africanism, DJ Gregory and Baron, a percussive Cuban house classic that had the Terraza shaking.

It was a bold and eclectic set that was a welcomed contrast to the Melodic Techno spine of the night.

Mathame took over at 03:30 and immediately doubled-down on the futuristic mood.

Their set swerved between melodic anthems and peak-time power, dropping weapons from their own discography like Koko and Don't Be Afraid. A highlight came when they let loose their own unreleased remix of BLACKPINK's Jump.

Energy spiked again with Jast's remix of The Prodigy's No Good - a nod to rave heritage twisted into modern Melodic Techno form. By then, the dancefloor was locked in at 130 bpm, Mathame sculpting their signature blend of soaring melodies and pounding low-end.

At 04:00, Gordo jetted in from Saint-Tropez to keep the energy sky-high. In a departure from his usual style of Tech and Latin-infused House, he matched Mathame's vibe, pushing the dancefloor into overdrive and giving the night a jolt of intensity.

By sunrise, the night had traced a wild arc, from House grooves to Trance-tinted Pop edits, ending on dystopian and futuristic Melodic Techno at full tilt.

With NEO, Mathame have created something distinct on the island - an Ibiza residency that feels like a vision of clubbing's future.

Expanding on last year's debut, the Giovanelli brothers have doubled down on immersive production and razor-sharp curation, pushing Amnesia into cinematic territory. What makes the party unique isn't just the spectacle, but the way the show unfolds like a narrative.

Towering over it all, the giant AI-inspired humanoid at the back of the room, acting as a surreal, physical reminder of NEO’s central theme: the merging of technology, music and imagination.

In a summer packed with residencies vying for attention, Mathame's NEO stands tall as a boundary-blurring spectacle and a glimpse of where club culture is headed.

Tickets to the remaining two parties are on sale now and available to buy below.
