Last Wednesday, the Ibiza Spotlight clubbing team found ourselves at that time of year again: it was time for our annual group endurance test. It’s the one night where the entire crew completes a major stretch of the island’s nightlife scene.
This week's tally? Six clubs in one night, equating to almost half of the island's top party spots! (the clubs we didn't manage to hit this week, were lined-up for part two in seven days time)
What made this year's effort even more epic was the debut of our very own party bus - a van decked out with LED disco lights and our own personal driver for the night. We were dropped off and picked up at each club right through to the final stop.
Honestly, there's no way we'd have managed six clubs if we’d been stuck queuing for taxis!
All five members of the club team, one of the partners, Tim, and an honorary +1 in Terry, totalled seven - and all of us made it from start to finish. It was the perfect midsummer team night out. This is club-hopping on a different level - and we’re the professionals!

House In Paradise | O Beach Ibiza
by Lissy Lübeck
For our first stop of the evening, our team went to check-out O Beach Ibiza's Wednesday staple House In Paradise. A tropical oasis in terms of production, this year it has fully flexed with grand ancient pharaoh decor and performances.
Arriving at 20:00, the day was already in full swing, with the M3 Musician collective standing on stage, playing along to the old school House rhythms on their respective instruments.
With only an hour allocated, it was a quick visit, but we still got the full O Beach experience. Just as we were getting into the groove, our trusty driver Daz was outside, ready to whisk us off to our next destination. One down, five to go!
House In Paradise runs weekly until 1 October. For tickets and info, please visit this page.

Gala by Ibán Mendoza | Cova Santa
by Lissy Lübeck
After a few drinks and some throwback tunes in the van to get us in the mood, we arrived at Cova Santa for the last hour of the terrace at Gala by Ibán Mendoza.
Stepping into a world of surrealism, large statues of animals and geometric shapes stood tall over the dancefloor whilst spoony visuals played behind an acrobat hanging from a trapeze. She elegantly moved in time with Henrik Schwarz's powerful tunes.
Tribal and body-jerking, Henrik sang along to his own track Asembi Ara Amba word for word, regularly nodding to the growing dancefloor in front of him.
We are sure that the party downstairs in the club would've been nothing short of magical too. However, by 22:00, we were ready to hit the road again and head to our final daytime stop.
Gala by Ibán Mendoza runs fortnightly until 24 September. For tickets and info, click here.

elrow Outdoors | Ushuaïa Ibiza
by Lissy Lübeck
Before arriving for the last hour of Ushuaïa's elrow Outdoors spectacle, our strictly FISHER-only playlist in the van was the perfect way to get us hyped up for the colourful chaos ahead.
One key lesson from this stop: even seasoned clubbers can get it wrong. We rolled in expecting to catch Fish, only to discover that elrow resident Bastian Bux was closing things out instead.
From the back of the crowd, the bucket hat and sunglasses combo had us hoodwinked, but as we pushed closer to the stage, we quickly realised we had been duped. Not that it mattered. Bastian had total command of the decks and the crowd.

Performers were everywhere - on the stage, in the crowd and around the perimeter of the hotel, interacting with the lively crowd. We managed to get right to the front for the last two confetti explosions of the night, which were so fun.
One thing’s for sure; you feel like a little kid again at elrow!
elrow Outdoors is back for a second and final 2025 outing on 13 August.

La Troya | Playa Soleil
by Luke Botting
Refuelled, re-energised and having caught a second wind after a pit stop for dinner, we were now ready to dive back into the evening antics. In any case, Playa Soleil was within walking distance. No need to hop back on the party van on this occasion.
A quick sample of the dancefloor revealed a crowd lock-step in the groove inside the Playa Soleil pyramid. House music with a sprinkling of Funk and Soul were the DJ’s genres of choice: timeless, infectious and impossible not to have a little boogie.
Accompanying the DJs was the ever-flamboyant drag queen, Baby Marcelo, La Troya's outrageous hxst who held court with their magnetic presence.

Draped in elaborate costume and exuding charisma, Baby Marcelo brought the kind of energy that defines La Troya’s reputation for inclusivity and wild, carefree expression.
The lighting design was equally on point. Synced with the beat, glowing moving heads swept across the space, heightening the sensory experience. Every drop, every break, lit up with intention and drama, creating an almost theatrical vibe that kept the crowd in the zone.
La Troya continues weekly until 1 October. For tickets and further info, please visit this page.
Time flew by. Before we knew it, Hï Ibiza was calling with a +61 caller ID...

Dom Dolla | Hï Ibiza
by Luke Botting
Approaching Hï Ibiza, we practically felt the anticipation in the air for Dom Dolla. Even before entering the club, we could see that moustaches and mullets were on full display! The Aussies had made the pilgrimage for their countryman’s Ibiza residency.
When Dom appeared at 03:00, the reception was nothing short of electric. Think '90s boyband levels of hysteria. Arms flew up, whistles blew and a sea of fans screamed in unison. This was the moment we’d all been waiting for - and Dom delivered.

He came out swinging with a barrage of his biggest and catchiest Pop-leaning House weapons. San Frandisco went off like a firework. By the time Rhyme Dust hit, the energy was still at boiling point. But Dom Dolla wasn't finished surprising us.
Refusing to stay in the comfy 120 bpm zone for long, he cranked the tempo up into the 130s and edged 140, diving headfirst into Hard House and Techno territory. It was a bold shift, but it landed perfectly, fast, heavy and definitely well received by the crowd.
It wasn’t what we’d been expecting, but it set the tone for the rest of the night and primed us perfectly for the final round of antics at Amnesia...
Dom Dolla has four dates remaining of his debut island residency. Please visit this page, for tickets and further info.

RESISTANCE Ibiza | Amnesia
by Stephen Hunt
When the first Club Sweep date was decided and the itinerary mapped, there was only one viable candidate to finish our night: the opening party of RESISTANCE Ibiza at its new Amnesia home. After an agonising five year hiatus, the Techno juggernaut has rightfully returned to Ibiza.
Gifting ourselves the full last two hours on the dancefloor, we made haste to San Rafael for the final leg. In the five year period since we last saw RESISTANCE, Ibiza has shifted musically. That said, its absence has left a gaping Techno-shaped hole that has remained unfilled until now.
We were curious to see whether the gravitational pull power it once commanded was still there.

Did we need to ask? The bodies on the dancefloor spoke for themselves. Both rooms were firing on all cylinders when we arrived, with the critical mass staying right until the last track played-out and everybody was ushered out of the door. RESISTANCE is back! Business has been picked up.
Intent on getting the authentic Ibiza experience - and with our designated driver for the evening, long-since having gone home - we joined the queue to slog it out for taxis as the sun came up. Part one: complete. Fresh as a daisy and ready to do it all again next week!
RESISTANCE Ibiza takes place every week until the 17 September closing party.

Midweek lull? What midweek lull?! Ibiza Spotlight proved that, while flight and hotel capacity might be higher during the week, the parties themselves continue to be strong. Not only are the options plentiful, but there's something on offer to suit all tastes.
You can recap our night here. We'll be back next week to tick-off everywhere we couldn't squeeze in during week one. Keep your eye out for the next instalment, coming soon.
