Album Review

Originally from Lithuania, but now firmly rooted in Ibiza, the island’s expansive music scene has found no problem in welcoming Greta Levska with open arms. Whether she's behind the decks at the notorious Pikes Ibiza, or lighting up dance floors across Europe, Greta’s sets consistently turn heads with her unexpected delves into Breaks, Acid and Electro.
Now, with the release of her debut album IBZALIEN on Get Physical, she’s able to position herself not within a specific sound, but wherever her mood takes her.
IBZALIEN is the perfect introduction to Greta as an artist. A powerful statement of intent and an entry into her eclectic music taste. It’s no wonder she’s fast becoming one of the most talked-about new artists on the scene. Let’s delve in.
Moulin Krew, the first track of the album hits hard with breaks and bass sent straight from the mothership. With reimagined '80s synths, pushing you to find your groove in between beats, it's the perfect retro-futurist banger for 2025, and one that sets the tone for the slew of left-field tracks to follow.
Initialize picks up the pace, opening with a tribal, off-beat rhythm and darts forward like a cartoon cat from outer-space. Bouncy, cheeky, and completely unhinged, in the best way. Something you’d hear on a stage deep into a festival at 6am.

True to her home, the third track dubbed San An Space Jam, is a shimmering love letter to Ibiza. This track captures the spirit of the island with cosmic flair. A track you maybe wouldn’t hear played out in a place like San An, rather one you’d imagine in your head on an introspective trip on some mushies, laying on the beach.
The first of two collaborations on the album Cash Lab feat. The Pressure, embodies a whispered rap that overlays seductive rhythms, and oozes late-night heat. I reckon Seth Troxler would be all over this at an after party.
Mr Funk channels early-2000s electroclash with a stripped-back, raw sound reminiscent of The Hacker and Peaches. On the brink of Trance, this one definitely evokes a sense of old school warehouse raving.
Not much needs to be said for BASS. It's fair to say that the bassline on this is pure filth. Hence the name. Simple and addictive, Greta let's the undertones do the talking here.
Las Perras (feat. Third Culture) – Imagine Miss Kittin fronting Kraftwerk, in Spanish. Spy Glass follows with sultry vocals, broken beats, and a monstrous low-end that would sound epic on some big speakers.
CMI = Dynamite is like a flashback to your first time in the club - green lasers, smoke machines, hands in the air. The finale, IBZALIEN is infused with UK Garage touches, it’s the kind of closer that makes you wish the night would never end.
The album maintains energy the whole way through. With not one single track adhering to any genre, these intergalactic riddims have come straight from outer space into the club. It’s rare for every track on a debut to land this hard, but IBZALIEN is solid gold from start to finish.
Already in 2024, Greta Levska played unforgettable sets at Pikes, Destino, Chinois Ibiza, and Amnesia. And with this release, she’s only going bigger.
IBZALIEN is out now and available to stream and purchase at all reputable online platforms.
