Rooted in Chinese heritage, yet playfully modernised, all four courses are an exciting feast for the senses.
We begin with the perfect combination of fall-off-the-bone, honey-glazed spare ribs and succulent satay chicken. Followed by a traditional middle course of light yet satiating crispy duck pancakes, complete with a rich hoisin sauce to dip.
Without much haste, the main courses were placed before us. A combination of classic plates, such as the sweet and sour prawns, crispy chilli beef with a sticky glaze, and tangy lemon chicken in an indulgent crispy coating. The chef’s exquisite presentation was topped only by the indulgent sweetness of each dish.
Between courses, firebreathers mesmerised diners, weaving through the tables and further igniting the night’s electric atmosphere.
Taking a few deep breaths ourselves, we made room for the chef’s final in-house creation. Banana Wun, a light serving of caramelised banana, ice cream, and crunchy sugar-coated biscuit.
Each dish is a generous portion size, making the Premium Tasting Menu ideal for sharing between small groups, and all for the very respectable price of €80 per person.
Of course, you’ll also want to try one of Chi Kee Wun’s signature cocktails, beautifully presented and packing equal wow-factor into every sip. Note that drinks are not included in the Premium Tasting Menu price.
Overall, Chi Kee Wun have finely honed the recipe for a memorable dining experience which celebrates the essence of Chinese and Eastern cuisine with the modern diner in mind. Along with attentive staff service, Chi Kee Wun leaves a lasting impression and desire to return.
